I know no developer who ever delivered defective software - the problem that the end user using a completely different hardware/software environment than that used by the developer...

At first I thought that was a ridiculous point, then I thought maybe he's on to something, especially if you consider all the little pieces of code that make an app, then I thought, no, his point really is BS.

OK, OK. Everyone ganging up on poor widdle me. I put 'developers' there for the simple reason that "if there's a defect in the code, whoever wrote the code must be the one that put it there." But yeah, much of the time it's spec errors, or PEBKAC, or even POOM. That's just not very pithy.

By nature enterprise application move slowly...the users used to it, as they have additional value of the enterprise...
However social media connection, mobile accessibility is not new. Data analysis, like BI is part of enterprise applications since the very beginning, big-data analysis is also there for years...
So we left with the cloud - in my experience most enterprise users are keen to keep their data close to them and the IT team afraid to loose the influence it has while moving parts of the system to to cloud, and that can be a big obstacle in the near future...

Today WiFi devices broadcast a relatively weak signal, but do it to every direction. A 'beam' means a powerful signal directed to some specific direction. It may solve the problem for high frequency signals, but what will happened to the materials (like your brain) in-between? Does Samsung test it too?

Think so yeah, I have a Chrome add-on to force SSL wherever possible, and when I disable it that site works fine.

If you think IoT is an end consumer technology you may be disappointed. The "things" are more likely to be smart meters, smart pallets, smart lighting, mailroom robots etc. Things that reduce the cost of doing business.
(But not to worry - these things will probably make your consumer things cheaper)
