Is it really worth paying for a service you good get for free on StackOverflow and put in the legwork to actually learn how to do it? Seems like taking the easy way out (that you have to pay for.)

As BlackBerry fades out, Microsoft's phone is the choice of enterprises to replace it. I knew IBM was slow to change, but you'd have thought a few of them might have heard that they weren't BFF with Microsoft anymore

The article is about what IBM saw when they surveyed Corporate IT PHBs about what platform they wished their serfs were using; not what IBM thinks companies should do. In particular the last para of the article:

I had almost identical thoughts there. They're entirely correct, but I'm not sure the US Government are well-placed to lecture people on online safety anymore.

The audience and the judge have spoken in our recent Microsoft and Android debate and they agreed with me that Microsoft/Nokia making Android phones is a smart move. But, can Microsoft give Samsung a run for its money as a top Android company? I think Microsoft might have a real chance of doing just that. Bonus #6: Just think how much it would irritate Apple

I understand that Microsoft earn just as much on Android phones from licensing fees.

It does not mean Microsoft will sell it for less then Samsung does today. So why to buy Microsoft's for more? For Office? I don't think so...

If MS were to get some traction in this direction I can imagine them buying out Xamarin. However, psychologically, might be hard for them to downplay Windows Phone.

While some professionals are just beginning to hit their stride at age 30, the future for an average programmer can appear pretty bleak after 29. It means they're getting close to 0x20!

That's the one, I hated HTML/Javascript back in the 90s - the last time I worked with the dogs breakfast they call web development. The ONLY reason I took the teams to web/silverlight was the whole binding thing. Now the bastards refuse to go back to the desktop, WPF where all our skills and resources are relevant and insist on going to MVC.
If I ever meet the thick witted, numbskull, pea brained, moronic idiot, bastard in Microsoft who made that decision I will take great pleasure in being quite rude to them.

Good old productivity tool in WPF and licensing as we always liked 
Or else, I'll be obliged to jump on the MVC band wagon and give right to the pea brained idiot. :'(
