I got office presence times which I need to follow, otherwise I'd follow your schedule. Bulgaria you say? That's not too far away, if I'd have time I'd be there in a few hours (it is on my bucket list of countries I want to travel). Sadly I am in the middle of my final project, so finding time for anything is rather hard.

Not really, no. The problem is that if you have a company using a single connection to the internet, they all users within that company share the same IP address - the address of the router or equivalent providing the actual connection.
So banning an IP address would ban everyone in that company as well.
There is also the problem that many (if not most) users do not connect via a fixed IP address - most ISPs will provide a dynamic IP for free, but will charge extra for a static one, and if you don't need it static then you don't pay the extra. Every time your home router is reset, you probably get a new IP address.

But in the case of a company, would you get the MAC address of the user or of the company's firewall / router?

It would be worth building the function that kicks on when a MAC address marked as offensive attempt to register just so you could call it ReturnOfTheMac.

Trouble is MACs aren't unique (just unique within a network), and spoofing them is pretty trivial: Google[^]
What we need is a global unique log in, controlled by an independent regulatory body with only one ID per human...but we won't get that any time soon (unless Google or Facebook get there by default)
