I m working on a c# and sql server based application...
I m fetching data from csv file and saving it's record One by one in to the database.
there is a column colled Description in my csv file as well as Sql server table.
In Sql i have given the data type "text" for the description column...
And it's working fine on my local machine but on server description gets truncated...
I have checked the csv file There is no comma in description
Everything is same StoredProcedure...DLLs...
I m not getting this... 
If any one has any idea abt this pls help me out...

Try to change column type of Description from text to varchar(255)//varchar (increase by yourself)

Same result working fine on local machine but not on server.

How did you come to the conclusion that the data gets truncated? Did you check the data in the database, and if so, what program did you use?

this function take alot of CPU power.

if you try to convert byte to string try this:
Convert.ToString(your bytes)
or can you explain more your problem????

I recommand you to not use muc variables because your project grows and becomes big procces in CPU.
Check ur code and insetad variables use dirctly code.
Use as little bit number of vraiables as is possiblity.

You have to look for the code that causes the cpu load somewhere else in your program. Converting a byte to a string is a very simple task that will take mere microseconds to perform.

Hi
Load the data into a MemoryStream, then use Image.FromStream. Then use Image.Save.
BTW, you must keep the MemoryStream open until you have finished with the Image.

hello, im building a web browser in visual c# (vs2005) and while it works fine i cant do it to open new windows in my application, it opens them using external ie windows, any idea how i can force it to pen them in new windows of my application instead of ie windows?

Go into the articles section and look for articles in the C# COM Interop section. There are two articles that talk about interaction betweeen IE and a Windows Form application including my article. You probably want to have the IE code fire an event back into the WinForm code which would then cause the WinForm code to open a new window of itself.

I don't want to draw the text, I want to use the font as it is, so is there any way out?!!

Hi there,
i have a usercontrol with an image/canvas. When i add it to a form it goes bezerk. The form flashes some 10 times and in the top of the InitializeComponent it adds stuff like Size and some other parameters like RectangleF.
'Normal' behaviour would be that it would add it like:
this.myControl1 = new Demo.MyControl();
but it also adds
MyDotNet.MyMath myMath1 = new MyDotNet.MyMath();
and later on in the InitializeComponent:
this.myControl1.Cursor = System.Windows.Forms.Cursors.Cross;<br />
this.myControl1.Dock = System.Windows.Forms.DockStyle.Fill;<br />
myMath1.Value1 = true;
myMath1.Value2 = 100;
this.myControl1.Math = myMath1;
The myMath1 above is added by the designer [C# Visual Express] and i cannot see why this happens.
In my control i have the following events:
* Load
* Resize
* SizeChanged
Basically when the usercontrol size is changed i set the size of the image to be the same as the usercontrol.
Anyone knows what could be going on here?

Dear sir
For an important company in Abu Dhabi I am sending this mail. We are developing an important software.We are using C# as teh programming language. We want video to be displayed .So we are using DirectShow and VMR9. We want facility of recording, playback etc.
Qusetions
1.Can we use C# for that or we must C++ to get the advanced facility of DirectShow. 2.If we are using DirectShow+c#+VMR9 can we get managed code.
3.Good video progarms can be got either by C++,or C# if we use DirectShow.
