Oh.. sorry... now I realize what my answer would mean. you are right, sir. I actually meant to say that the scope of variable aaa is not confined to the 'for' loop and hence it would retain its value for each iteration of the inner and outer for loops. Big Grin | :-D

Hi,

I'm working in MFC and have a problem with files that are used by my app. At opening time my app open some files and set's the readonly property to them. Everything works just fine if the app doesn't crash. If the app crashes the files remain readonly. My question is... in what wya can I catch some kind of messages or something when my app crashes and then reset tfe file attributes to previous state?

You can implement your own unhandled exception filter and attempt to reset file attributes from within the handler.
