QuestionDialog-based vs SDI (without Doc/View) Pin

Hi gurus,

I am about to develop a new project and confused on which type I should use. Since I will NOT handle any file (serialization), I don't need Doc/View support.

In the past, I have always used dialog-based, but I have read comments in this forum regarding "avoid dialog-based, and go with CFormView SDI instead". I don't remember the reasons (but maybe related to serialization support and menu/hotkeys).

Also, I see that disabling Doc/View support means I cannot choose CFormView as my base class for the main view. (And since the main window will have a lot of controls, I don't want to create/arrange them in run time). Should I still go with SDI? Why some people seem really dislike dialog-based approach?

Thanks in advance for any comments/pointers.
