This line:

is not even possible to compile.
So, you are not showing us the code that you are using. How much does the real code differ from what you showed?
(Sorry if this sounds picky, but I have wasted a lot of time looking for errors that doesn't exist in code that people doesn't even use.)

it was just a typing mistake here.
in the program i wrote 'newName' only and not 'new name'

I have made .net componets com compliant and visible in VB6 but I can not seem to get a .net exe to behave as an active-x exe.
For backward compatability I need to create a .net exe that vb6 can use with late binding.

If anyone knows how to do this, I would appreciate the help.

None of the managed code compilers can generate a true ActiveX server. The .NET Framework doesn't support all the exports required. But, you could simulate something similar using COM Interop using very similar techniques to what you've already done. You can learn more about this under Interoperating with Unmanaged Code[^]. Pay particulat attention to RegAsm.

My school ends 04.03.2006 and i need to make some application for end... i started to do text editor and i want when some of text starts with example("!") then the combobox apears with items that you can insert example

in the key press event of the textbox u can check for < or .......if(textbox1.text="<") then u can either i) create a combo box or u can set the visible property of a combo box to true --- (combobox1.visible=true)
sorry can't get ur second ques - is it that u wanna fetch a value from a dialogbox and use it in a textbox???

1)yes u should try the keydown()
2)to replaceonly a part of a textbox
u should use replace func. :-

By Ibeam, do you mean cursor? If so, try using SelectedText, like this:
textbox1.SelectedText = listbox.text
This will insert the text from form2 listbox into the text in form1 textbox, at the location of the cursor.

i load datatable into a grid, the grid is added, edited. Now i put into the grid a new row with the same key as another row. I have used Rowchanged and Columnchanged Events. But after it messaged the error as i gave, it message a error message from System.
I want to turn of it. How can i do that? Please help me!

You can't! You're violating the unique value constraint on the Primary Key column of your table. You simply cannot do that and cannot turn off the error.

Now we're really confused. How are you adding this new record? Why are you trying to add a new record with a duplicate key? If you don't want the message to come up, don't put the duplicate key in! It's that simple...

I only want to catch error, because maybe someone can insert a new record into grid with the same key, and they dont know about english, they can not understand what the system error message means.

Your users should not be generating their own Primary Key's. They should not even be able to enter a Primary Key at all! These should be generated by the database itself.
Like I said, handle the error by not letting it happen in the first place. Don't give the user the opportunity to make the error come up.
