And it still isn't showing up for me on the CP home page. It must be showing up for others because it's got a number of views logged. (Notice, I'm even using a newer version of IE). I've even rebooted the machine since eposting the tip.

I checked in IE8, Chrome, and FF and it did not show up on the homepage. Perhaps people are coming across your tip via a search. Or maybe only those with a certain reputation level see it.

Nish has agreed to get the Indian contingent to post cricket stuff in GIT. I will do my best to seek and destroy cricket topics in the lounge.
Especially after our blokes' pathetic effort this Summer. I do not need to see any more cricket.

I think a dedicated forum would make more sense. We can't very well jump all over someone for posting in the wrong form if they can't easily locate the correct one (and who would think about looking in GIT?).

I noticed that CP was slow to respond to postings this morning, and noticed in the bottom of Chrome; "waiting for ajax.microsoft.com"
Never thought anything of it, and just thought things were being a bit slow.
Anyway, i just went poking around the net looking at the various CDN e.g. Google / MS and noticed this on the MS site; (from here[^])
25% seems a fair bit of an improvement for a simple name change!
just an observation!
ajax.microsoft.com renamed to ajax.aspnetcdn.com
The CDN used to use the microsoft.com domain name and has been changed to use the aspnetcdn.com domain name. This change was made to increase performance because when a browser referenced the microsoft.com domain it would send any cookies from that domain across the wire with each request. By renaming to a domain name other than microsoft.com performance can be increased by as much to 25%. Note ajax.microsoft.com will continue to function but ajax.aspnetcdn.com is recommended.
Old Format: http://ajax.microsoft.com/ajax/jQuery/jquery-1.4.4.js
New Format: http://ajax.aspnetcdn.com/ajax/jQuery/jquery-1.4.4.js
