I think you need to tighten it up a little, say... 30 to 31 characters. 
BTW, this also affected the Tips/Tricks. I went to edit one I posted yesterday, and it wouldn't let me post the edit until I INCREASED the length of the title by at least five characters.

There is a designer I work with who would like to know what you use to colorize code with PRE tags. Is it something that's easily pluggable, or did you make it yourself? Basically, we have an ASP.Net site we run and he'd like to add code to the style guide he's making so developers can copy it. For example:

I know there are many code colorizers out there, but the one on Code Project is the best I've seen.

It's completely custom - specifically because none of the others out there could do what was needed.

I don't know how feasible this is and it seems so obvious that I guess that it must have been suggested before.
Still, that doesn't usually stop me, so:
To stop Questioners responding to comments by adding a new answer could it not be that if the member viewing a Question is the same as the originator of the question the 'Add your answer here' and the edit box be invisible/disabled in some way.

Yeah, it's been suggested before. Problem is, they really do have answers to their own questions sometimes (I've answered a few of my own questions).
Though, maybe they could tweak the UI somehow to make it more obvious that they are answering their question or that they can post a comment instead.

Well, in that case, Add an Answer can be changed to "Post the solution". This would essentially update the question itself but mark it as solved too. Also, then we should get rid of "Add an answer" to "Suggest better solution" which would give you rep points only if the OP accepts it. This may help those rep point crazy members who just post the same thing again, supposedly, to gain rep point. Just my two cents*.
*Interesting thing is, I don't really know (although I do assume an appropriate meaning of it) what it really means or what is it's origin. I just used it since I have seen people using it in similar situations.

Surely nice one. But based on how the Q&A works, just a slight change, what if we have 'Propose a solution' instead of 'Post the solution'?
This way, people upvoting would actually support proposed solution and OP can accept a proposed solution. Sounds like all fits in!

Nope. OP knows the problem. So when he posts a solution it is posting a solution. We guys on other hand propose the solution assuming OPs original problem based on the question.
So if OP proposes a solution, it moves the approving authority role from OP to us. This means, we are better off OPs problem than he himself. Which is wrong, isn't it?

I was suggesting text as 'Propose a solution' for us and not from OP prospective, based on which I still think the text that would fit more is 'Propose a solution'. This already is suggesting OP to not post anything as a solution to the asked problem as you proposed by suggesting 'Post a solution'.
It was just my suggestion. Chris and team are the one who are going to decide on it.

Whilst the Author has a link to the original, and therefore is giving credit. The changes he has made are minimal and it therefore smacks too much of plagiarism for my liking.

There is virtually no original content in that blog entry. The only thing in the code that differs is the filename (it chooses a particular date format rather than automatically serializing the date value). That being said, it is really just a small code snippet that the "author" tweaked slightly to suit his needs. And it was written on his blog in a way that makes it seem like "hey everybody, this is what I did, it may be useful for you too." And, as you say, he links to the original. Doesn't seem like he's trying to pass off the work of another as his own, so I wouldn't be too harsh on him. If this were an article or tip/trick, that would be a different matter.
