It is my opinion that no serious site should or would condone or allow anything like this, and I urge Chris and Co. to remove the message containing the link immediately!

I am sorry, but I see know difference between the butchery and consumpion of a cat or the butchery and consumption of a pig.
If you are a vegetarian then I suppose the eating of any meat would be unpleasant for you, but if you are a normal omnivore like most humans, then the consumption of meat should not be a problem to you.
To remove the link is just censorship based on opinion rather than for legal reasons.
I have eaten cat, dog, frog, snake, insect and god knows what else.
Just because you dislike it is not a reason to stop others from enoying their "viande du jour".

Dave (& Griff for that matter too) - I've always thought of you as an educated and intelligent person. Guess I misjudged you. If you can't see what I'm opposing to, then tough titties!
I didn't post this as a subject for a debate, if I had done that, I would have posted it in the Lounge.
I posted it for the CP responsibles so that they can decide for themselves if this is the image they want people to have of their site. As you are neither, then this post was not directed at you, wherefor your opinion is totally irrelevant to the matter.
Suffice to say: I find the link to that degree offensive, repulsive and completely unbefitting a programming forum. If you don't agree, I couldn't care less...

Ok, I am, I always support England and the UK when it comes to Sporting Events, and I think the UK is a great place to live.

You've got it wrong Dave. I'm not constantly downvoting your posts. Apart from your posts on THIS subject, I only downvote you once in while when I REALLY disagree with you. Otherwise, my normal response to your posts are 5's. I don't have the statistics, but I would say that at least 80% or more are upvotes... I didn't even downvote your "Indian" remarks I mention above even though I really thought you out of line there. I even helped you by upvoting you on one occasion when you needed a few extra votes to put you over the top on some milestone, if you will remember?

Of course I am up for an argument, based on advancement of premise and logical deduction, but name calling and abuse just riles me.
We may have a difference of opinion, but there is no reason to get abusive on matters.
Also, I certainly did not get racist against Indians simply for being Indian.
I have had to point out a few times to certain Indian members who were getting rather nationalistic, a few home truths, which they didn't like.
But truth is not racism, truth just is.
They assumed me to be ethnicist (A more accurate term than racist, which is often used incorrectly), but I wasn't.
The trouble is people often jump to conclusions based on opinion, not fact.
(I too am guilty of this, I admit).
I think the thread has jumped too far into the mire.
I will apologise for any insults and abuse I have given you, so long as you can accept that we have differing views on various moral standpoints.

Where? I saw no cruelty in that link. Eating the body of a dead cat may not be to your taste (or mine, though I'll give it a try if it's served to me, just like everything else I've eaten), but there is no cruelty in doing so. All it is doing is using a resource that would otherwise be wasted.
Just because you don't eat a specific animal, is no reason why it is intrinsically disgusting.
Jews and Muslims won't eat pork - Loads of other do.
The British don't eat horse - the French do.
Americans don't eat dog - Koreans do.
Westerners don't eat insects - many others do: Witchetty grubs, locusts, grasshoppers.
Bird Spit? See birds nest soup.
