A really good question, to which I have no answer.

I shall keep an eye on this to see the results.

I suspect it is not going to be a CSS solution though.

Grabbing Sharepoint documents

I'm new to this site so please forgive me if this has been asked before. I'm using .aspx forms and I have read this web page:

I'm not sure if that is what I need to do.

What I want to do in my form is to grab Word documents that
exist in a sharepoint document library and then display them
on a web page and rotate them.
Also, grab a ticker and a calendar from sharepoint sites.
An example of what I want to do is in the top left of this
web page:

Any help would be much appreciated
or just point me in the right direction.

Sorry but the SharePoint API won't be helpful in this situation. The SharePoint API is used when running code on a system that has SharePoint installed. For remote situations you need to use the SharePoint web services.

Echoing Adam the first thing you should do is post the question to the correct forum.

I guess since I thought I would be programming this in .Net I did

I'm sorry, but it still looks like I'm programming in VB:
After creating a Windows Application project and adding a Web reference, open Form1 in Design view, open the Toolbox, and then drag a Label control and a Button control onto the form

Hi,

I am getting error as 'Sys' is undefined.

The above error occures in production server only not in development server. I checked every setting and web.config. I am not getting any solution for this. I am using Ajax in this page.

you need to add some lines in your web.config.
this error comes when you are using ajax control kit.

hi,
i want to add textbox columns in my Gridview dynamically.

I first want to fill the gridview using dataset which i m able to...but i want to add one more extra column in the gridview at the same time.

How to add that textbox column ......say on dropdownlist autopostback event or say button click event?

here is the code for filling gridview using dataset

Hey guys,

I need to develop something but I'm not even sure if it's possible. Basically, I have an iFrame and a parent page on different domains. On the parent page I have a booking engine progress bar with the steps and I need to highlight the step on which the user is.

I have tried calling javascripts from the iFrame but I get permission denied. I also tried sending an anchor in the url to the parent and have the parent page check the anchor every X seconds. But that didn't work either.

Is there any way I could do this?

I realize it might not be possible but thought I'd ask here as a last resort. Cheers.

The div class="rightbody" just identifies the div in which I wish to place the content, and the span class="centertext" is set to text-align:centre;

So why is the span not putting the content in the center?

Span is an inline element - you can't centre (yes, I mean center) something within a line. Change it to a div, or use display: block; to turn it into a block element.

I know you already figured out your issue, but I just wanted to say that if you want to IDentify a div, you should give it an ID not a class.

Use Ctrl+Left/Right to switch messages, Ctrl+Up/Down to switch threads, Ctrl+Shift+Left/Right to switch pages.
