I have tried above code with different query. The recordset is returning -1 recordcount.
I have tested both queries in Sql Sever 2005, They are running well and giving proper output.
Then why the recordset is returning me -1 recordcount.
New query is as below :

I have tried simple stored procedures to return recordset
like : Select * From
It is running good, giving proper out put.
But If I am making it bit complicated then recordset is returning -1 recordcount
e.g. : Select Count(bId) from bTable
This stored procedure is running well in SQL Server 2005, but if I am caling them in ASP pages it is returning me -1 recordcount.
Please Help me

Dear all,
I have been trying to find a way to put a small toolstrip (much like the one on facebook) at the very bottom of my page and make it stick there.
I've made use of screen.height, screen.availHeight to, well, no avail. It keeps being cropped or goes off the screen or appears too high up.
Is position:absolute the right way to go?
Do i need to calculate the actual position in the y-axis subtracting the height of all the other controls on my page?
I'm really stuck, and it's the control that should stick, not me.
I'm sorry if that question has already been asked, I am not even sure what keywords to use to look for the solution.

You didn't give many details, so this is just a guess.
The web server you are using (such as Apache or IIS) does not allow directory listing for the specific path you typed in. For example, suppose you have this URL:
http://mysite.com/coolsite/
Normally, when your browser asks for that folder from the web server, the server looks for a default page in that folder. You can configure what a default page is, but the most common are like these:
index.html
index.htm
default.html
default.htm
In case there is no default file that matches, a web server will check its settings to see if it has permission to give a directory listing.
Usually this is set to no, because that can give too much information to hackers. But the web site administrator can choose to allow directory listings for the whole site or just for certain folders.
Your problem seems to be that.

I developed the website in asp.net and my startup page is "InserPayDetails.aspx".
And i want this page to be displayed , when i browse my site.
Normally what i do is... go to ftp and put the whole content in wwwroot directory...
so is it enough, or i need to do something more than this..

It appears your web server is running MS IIS.
If you have a web server administrator, ask him. I guess you do not, so...
If you have direct access to that computer, open the IIS console application and check the defaults for your particular case. Rename your startup page to the correct version (like index.aspx). However, you may not want to change the name, so...
Add your page name exactly as is to the list of defaults. But just in case you don't have access to the IIS computer...
Just navigate directly to that page, such as:
http://mysite.com/somepath/InserPayDetails.aspx
It's best to have a default page of some sort, because most people will not want to type the full path. You could make up one that has a link to the intended startup page, or that automatically redirects. There are lots of things that could be done. Good luck.

Hi...
Now what i did was i renamed my startup page from anything.aspx to index.html and now if i browse my website i am getting index.html , but other pages are .aspx and for them i have put links in this .html page.
Now i m getting startup page but can not browse the .aspx pages
please guide for this

The ASPX tells the server it needs to be handled as a MS ASP special file, which means it pre-processes the file before sending it to the client.
HTML tells the server to just send it as is to the client.
And you can't choose any old extension, because each one has its own rules. Your page is ASPX type, so it must have that extension.
Every folder (also called directory) can have different default pages. You have to find out what ones are defined for your folder. This means you have to run the IIS administration program (I don't know the name, but it's probably in Control Panel on the web server) and see what's available.
If ASPX is not available, you'll have to add it.
It sounds like you have a lot of learning to do. Maybe find an ASPX for Beginners tutorial or something.

we can change default page for the website by adding the particular page to website properties "Documents" tab in IIS 6.
I assume that you do not have access to website properties "Documents" tab.
Best to change page to "default.aspx"
which will be default when you install .net in IIS.

Hi All
I am sorry if I am asking this question on a wrong forum.
I am working with the DNN PopUp Calendar control, I have a textbox next to it that displays whatever date I choose from the Calendar.
I want that textbox to be readonly, but the problem is that if I set the ReadOnly property of the textbox to true, the textbox always defaults back to the default values (today's date) after the postback. But if the ReadOnly property is false it displays the date I chose on the textbox even after the postaback.
So I would like to know how to make the textbox readonly but still keep the selected date displayed on the textbox after postback.
I initialse the textbox to today's after inside the if(!IsPostback) block.

This is not a issue with Dot Net Nuke. If you are doing the same in ASP.NET you will face the same problem. If you make any text box as Read Only it will not send the updated value on post back.
Quick Fix : Use ContentEditable="False" instead of Readonly. It will do the trick for you. 
Solution Approach :
1 .Before Post back read the value in hidden field and after postback place the hidden field value to the textbox
2. You can create your own custom textbox control also. Check here. There was a discussion on same topic 1 year back in CP http://www.codeproject.com/script/Forums/View.aspx?fid=12076&msg=2395528[^]
