new to tablet pc application. is it possible to get noncontionous regions on which i can ink on a single form. i need ascii representation of character followed by its glyph for all the characters on a single form.i want to define area for each character separately. the stroke for one region should not interfere with the ink area of other.
right now i m using groupbox as a control and line control dll to draw horizontal lines so as to draw glyph in defined area.

Hi guys,

I have a simple form with two buttons. Button1 needs to call \sdmmc\app1\app.exe and button2 needs to call \sdmcc\app2\app.exe

I have tried standard vb code to no avail (very loooong time since I did any coding so could just be wrong). Also, can I call from that location (sdmcc?)

Hi,

I am developing a smart phone win32 console application in which I am sending the virtual key codes to Keyboard event using SendInput() API and taking the screen shot immediately, but here the problem is when I am trying to send the key codes to test some application like making call I will have some sequence of key events like opening the contacts using "rightsoft" , selecting the number dialing it using "talk" key event then waiting till the call connects and for all these events I have to capture the current screen shot and also as soon as the call ends again I have to take the screen shot showing that call has been ended in the application I am not able to know which application will the user test only I am concerned with passing the key events starting from ideal screen (desktop) to do testing using the key events . Same problem occurs when I try to load some web page while testing Internet Explorer application that is after how much time I should take the screen shot.

[u][b]I thought that if the application can be able to catch some notification sent by OS that call made, call connected, call hasbeen ended, page laoded completely then I can capture the screenshots perfectly for every event.[/b][/u]

So can u kindly tell me whether there is any API in win32 to do this.

I create a single document Application and the toolbar default location is the bottom.And I can move it to the left and right. But I can not move it to the top. How to fix it?

This question was originally posted in the c# forum in error.

I have an application running on a PDA (Windows Mobile 6.1)that currently uses the OnClick Event of a DataGrid to perform some functionality. I would like to have the same functionality run when the current row of my DataGrid is highlighted (by the user scrolling to it using the navigation button instead of tapping on it with the stylus). The method to use would seem to be OnSelectedIndexChanged but this does not seem to be available in the Compact Framework (3.5). The OnGotFocus doesn't seem to be suitable either (I guesss that this is because it applies to the DataGrid itself and not the row). Can anyone suggest how I can get this to work. Note that I only want the event to fire when the user moves to the row and not when the grid is being populated.

You can use "CurrentCellChanged" event and in this event you can check the myGrid.CurrentCell.ColumnNumber or RowNumber and perform your task.

Hi,

I am calling a web service from my windows mobile device. The web service call returns a datatable. The datatable has a datetime field. All of the records have the value 01/01/2070 in this field. When this datatable is sent to my device this field has the value 01/01/1970 for every record. I've put the same code into a desktop application and the datatable comes back with 01/01/2070 in the field for every record.

Can anyone suggest what might be causing this?

I am using AT command to read sms from Mobile.

I am using 1> AT, 2> AT+CMGF, 3> AT+CSCS, 4> AT+CPMS, 5> AT+CNMI, 6> AT+CMGL commands to read sms. All are working. But when I try to execute the 1> AT command after 2/3 minutes later it is not working? What I have to do to repeat the execution of the AT command?

I try to use Touch Screen control some motors, and motors run when received mousedown event ,and stop it when received mouseup.(picturebox control)
but i find that sometimes when My finger lifted form touch screen the motor do not stopped,and that means mouseup envent not always Captured by WinCE.

I am writing a program on pocket pc. A problem happened when I want to show a file help
with html format. In html file contains some images, and when I show them, system showed a messenger that could not show. No image was showed. In properties of image, I chose "content" in Build action item and "copy if newer" in copy to output item. Please recommend me that how I have to do ? Thanks

Friends...im a final year MCA student...im now doing a 4 month full time project...for which i have selected mobile technology....i ve created an application which uses Google Maps with its API...and gets the current location from the tower from which mobile gets the signals..and then set it as current location in google maps...thereby giving an effect of using GPS....but now i see it is still to small from a evaluator's point of view....so i hv decided to add more features to it to make it a "Traveller's Tool"...like giving info on weather,bus n train timing,hotel informations etc....but i dont anyone giving free services like this....guys...can u help me out...what all things can i add to it (which is doable) so that it becomes big enough for a main project???

also if u have any alternate project titles....it also is appreciated as i still have almost all the 4 months left Smile | :)

expecting a fast response...as i have to present my new ideas this week itself Frown | :(

For free you can either use the Live Search web service or you can use a developer's Virtual Earth account. You should be able to get a good amount of data on nearby facilities using those.

Hi there,

I am developing an ASP.NET MOBILE using ASP.NET 2.0.
My page has a selectionList control from which i can select an item.
I want to test if the item i have selected using if statement and then display the result (add) to another control (tEXTBOXT)

After clicking the command button, ON postback i get error:Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Looking at your code you are trying to create 25 processes. Which iteration is this failing on? Did you know that unless you are running CE6 kernel you can only run 32 precesses maximum and several of these are taken up by the core OS and other processes added by OEMs.
How many processes are running already.
