Hello,
how can i set default button of a ASP.NET webpage with C# code?
We set default button of a windows application Form as
this.AcceptButton = btnShow;
i want like this. but for a webpage.
Please reply..

In 2.0 and up...
Drop an asp:panel control on your page.
Each panel control has a Default Button Property.
I didn't get any requirements for the signature

Hi all,
In my application, we are generating an excel file which will have 5000+ records with 50 columns. If i check the LIVE SERVER the file was generated, but since the code took around 15 to 20 minutes to generate the file, the connection between CLIENT and SERVER has got "timed out".
It is displaying "Page cannot be displayed" error is coming.
Can any body help me to keep the Client and Server alive, even if the server took some time to generate the excel file. just like sending response from server at regular intervals..

I think you need to be creative. If your server is taking that long, you are probably doing something wrong. I would look into using an export function form Crystal, SQL Reports or another 3rd party company rather than opening an instance of Excel on your server.
But, if you must...
Add the following to the web.config. I think it goes under the system node.

I've got the two following roleManager providers defined in my web.config file. The one "CustomRoleProvider" is the default one that needs to be used by the whole application.
I wrote another role manager provider "ModifiedCustomRoleProvider" that needs to be the roleProvider used by certain pages or need to be used by a certain page, based on the users role.

Use a 3rd party tool. SQL Reporting, Crystal Reports, Aspose or something else.
Trying to program excel on the server is tough and it doesn't scale well.

I had install the vs2003 on win XP, after that configure the IIS server & frontpage extension as said in help files.
When i am creating a web application thru VS2003 it showing the error as:
Visual .Net has detected that the specified web server is not running ASP.Net version 1.1. You will be unable to run asp.net web services or application.
Configuration of my pc is
Win Xp sp2
VS 2003,
.net framework 1.1
.net framework 2.0(this i installed as for MSDN 2005)
Can any one know the what's wrong?

I have published an ASP.Net website, but when I want to open it this error apperas:
