I doubt I can ever apply for a job anymore, as I absolutely refuse to take any kind of online test. If you feel the need to administer a test after reading my CV and perusing my Code Project articles, then I do NOT want to work for YOU.
I was very impressed that my current employer felt the same as I do - there was an in-person interview and I was essentially hired on the spot.

I've taken these from way back, in person, all day.
You have to know the company culture (I guess).
The questions I remember include:
- How much beer do you drink per week?
- What do you prefer: a tidy desk or seeing a pretty girl?

Today I've seen a video in youtube that made me laugh.
Technically speaking it's interesting, the power that thing must have must be amazing (computing power or megaton power it's up to you and clearly forget about spending a dime on heating this next winter).
The first 13 seconds are a small cut of the last part of the video...
I've laughed seeing his reaction when powering up that thing (and yes, it's a computer): PC 8x RTX 2080Ti + max 3TB RAM - YouTube[^]

We have a couple of HP Proliant 'pizzas', that sounds just like that when turning on... There is a 5-10 seconds of high spin, when all the fans running at maximum speed and making awful noise...

I bought one of those years back when the company I worked for went through an acquisition and they were trying to get rid of them. I thought I'd be able to do something useful with it, given it had Xeon CPUs and hot-swappable drives (which was a pretty new thing at the time), but in hindsight, the 1GB of RAM limit made it unusable...and the fans, as you said, are so loud I can't even leave it running in the basement at night while I'm in bed two floors away.
Worst computer I've ever bought.

I had 4 images opened in the Windows 10 app, and the damn thing was hogging up a GIG oF memory!  There has got to be a better app than this SLOW & HOGGY POS!

The old Photo Viewer from Win7 (8?) is still there, and launches nearly instantaneously. Hitting the left/right cursor keys to quickly cycle through a bunch of image files is also just about as quick as can be. It's not sophisticated, but that's exactly how I want it to be.

It's been a while I've looked at that thread, but how it grew to be 56 pages in length, I have no idea (and I'm kinda scared to find out). All I know is that I have a small-ish .reg file that I've been importing into all of my new Win10 installs, and it has always worked without a hitch for me.

Maybe they expand their "security" feature to more "windows own products" for your security.
They could create a new registry class and block manual changes within the whole directory. Which would affect your procedure
Seeing how they act lately... would not surprise me that much. At the end they know what we need better than we self

It's nice, but only freeware for non-commercial use. OP didn't specify if this was for personal use or not, but I thought it worth mentioning at least.
