We have that too, but one the TP is stocked it's gone within the hour.

I have seen that kind of behaviour... one is waiting, then he / she calls the family and every one gets a package of this, a package of that (maybe wait 15 mins outside and come in a second time)... so at the end, the same houshold end buying 15 items again.

Myself: Not impressed, and I came in with low expectations. The jokes fell flat. The situations felt forced. And I swear the guy who played Jared on Silicon Valley has already been forever cast as..."that guy".
It's just a half-hour show, but I literally kept falling asleep on them. If a show can consistently fail to capture my attention for half an hour...there's something fundamentally wrong.
I didn't come in with any preconceived notion about Hugh Laurie - this is the first show he's been on that I've watched (I've never seen 'House' and I kept hearing he's a great actor). My verdict: As an actor, yeah, he's good...but he can't do humor. Patrick Stewart, much as I love him, is in the same category - always steals any scene he's in, but he can't do funny.
How it got renewed for a second season, I don't know.

It's hard to watch: most of the characters are unlovable and two dimensional, and the episodes are - simultaneously - too short and too long. They are too short because there could be a good series here, and it needs better than 20 minutes to get it "real". But they are also too long because the jokes are flat and badly delivered.
I'm struggling through because Hugh Laurie is a good actor, and it's hard to believe he'd want to work in something so completely lacking in quality - I suspect that the plot summary he was sold on was nothing like the actual scripts.
But there is a good plot here, if they could just concentrate on that in season 2 instead of trying to appeal just to turd joke fans and the current "no-attention-span" audience model.
(Plus "The Expanse" won't be here for months and months - and that's if we are lucky ...)

There's 2 completely opposite ways to interpret that comment. 
At this point I'm only watching because I'm perhaps a little too OCD to stop watching a series I've already invested this much time in. I just can't get into it to appreciate it the way some obviously do. Maybe you have to have read the books? More likely it's because, for one thing, I despise that plot device where lazy writers use invisible characters that only one person can see and talk to. I thought Gazoo was interesting on The Flintstones when I was a kid, but that sort of thing has no place in a sci-fi series that takes itself seriously, IMO.

Yes, I read the books first - and Miller was significant, explained pretty well, and required.
It's a good TV series because it's based on good books, and written / produced by the authors!

How terrible that someone from the genius profession should have suffered such an embarrassment while implementing such a genius-level idea, for a device that everyone obviously wants and needs.
It obviously would have made him a multi-billionaire, if it weren't such a bleeding stupid idea for mistakes made by the people who designed the parts he was using.
I mean, who wants working wristwatches, phones, keyboards, laptops, etc, when you can have brilliantly ideated and designed electromagnets on your wrists, instead of all that useless cr@p?

It's funny how people don't see the easiest solution.
A simple surgical mask is extremely efficient at stopping you from picking your nose. 
And while they're fairly inefficient at stopping airborne infections from entering you, they are quite efficient at stopping droplet infections from leaving you.

I was once an astrophysicist and even though I recovered I find your comments are astrophysicistist.
It may be a funny joke to you but to those who are astrophysicists it is no laughing matter I assure you. What an Astrophysicist does in the privacy of their own home, or even outside it for that matter (though not right now unless as part of their official one hour of exercise or visit to the shops), should be respected.
For the record, technically I was a cosmologist I did of course do astrophysics at University as part of that but astrophysics is really, really boring, not as boring as astronomy mind you (it is mind numbing). Cosmology is the sexy option, so I took it. Sadly no-one wants a graduate cosmologist, they insist on you messing about in a monotone voice with telescopes first, so I ended up in IT. Hurrah!!!

I confess to having the occasional pop at scientist on my work message board. Particularly when they make up stuff (like bubbles in space) to explain why other stuff they made up (the Hubble Constant) doesn't work! If it had been April 1, the Bubble/Hubble 'coincidence' might have throw doubt on the article! 
So, I suggested they do something useful - like find a cure for coronavirus, or solve the 'loo roll crisis'. I'd like to take that back. They need to stick with their day jobs, where they can do less harm!
