Just been in an amazing meeting.
Four of us.
Starts, one says this is our position, PM says, that is no good for us, first says OK I'm off, PM says fair enough.
I say this is my position, other bloke says I think that is right.
The two of us have a little chat for 5 minutes just to check, he then says to the PM there you go, all sorted, we'll be off.
And we left.
I'm still can't quite believe it happened.

Hello all,
I'm running out of space in my phone... 
I have two apps to download e-mails, both configured using IMAP.
A) The stock e-mail application (not GMAIL, but the other app that comes with any Samsung phone).
B) Microsoft Outlook (which works very well now).
Time ago I started working with the stock one and now it shows me plenty of e-mails.
I'd like to delete all the e-mails on the stock application but I don't want to lose them on my server... I've not seen any answer which looks interesting so far...
Any hint?
Will this make any difference?
I could delete the account on the stock mail application... or just delete all the application cache and data, I guess this should do the trick, but I would not like to do something wrong which would lead to keep the space occupied on the phone and/or losing emails on the server...

With IMAP servers you can create sub folders and move mails into them. Then subscribe that folders with specific clients only.
Example:
Create sub folders for each year and move mails from those years to the folders. Then subscribe the sub folders with Outlook but not with the stock app.

I cheat.
Outlook I have configured to use POP3, but the Gmail Android app is configured to use IMAP
That way, while Outlook is running it gets every mail and removes them from the server - then when Gmail checks it only finds new items and doesn't remove them. When they disappear from the server into Outlook, they vanish from the phone at the same time.
Might not be exactly what you want, but it works for me.

Seriously though the Gmail app is great I have access to all my emails and it doesn't use too much space at least on my phone.
I collect all my emails from all my accounts into Gmail though, that may not work for you.

With IMAP you should be able to select the number of days to sync. (At least I have an option to select "One day", "Three days", "One week" and so on.) Mails older than that are automatically removed from the phone when the app starts to sync (the mails remain on the server though)

Simply change your settings of the stock application to POP3, or simply manually remove the server settings, and delete your email. The application has no way to delete them from the server then.

That is also a good option, I've made what @Nicholas_Marty suggested and it worked, the only issue was that it left the last day mails on the income box.
When trying to delete the account itself the program explains that it will delete all the e-mails from the device completely.
Tried it and it works.
