If your browser has an 'always request desktop version of website' feature, try enabling that...I usually just use the stock browser that comes with Android with that enabled and I don't often get bothered with requests to install the site's 'App'.

So, even after uninstalling RazorEngine, the whole assembly reference thing was hosed. While the website runs on my dev box, there was clearly a magic combination of assemblies, both local and I imagine in the GAC, that were somehow resolving correctly.
Not so on the hosting server, of course.
So, my solution was to remove all the references to ASP.NET assemblies, find them in the ASP.NET MVC 4 folder and another place I didn't write down (sorry), copy those assemblies into a new folder in my project called "assemblies", and re-reference those assemblies.
Now, both the local and host server run.
I imagine the only other option would have been to create an MVC 4 project from scratch and copy over the source code pieces into it, but I'm not sure I trust that process.
So, this little adventure wasted probably six hours, all because I did:
install-package RazorEngine
Andy - next time, I'll know better and use the -safe flag.

I never use NuGet. And also never use GAC except for core .NET assemblies...Only local assemblies, that DO NOT update if I do not want so...

Sometimes these libraries by ASP.NET team are a headache and we really have to go to the intial stage of any project.
But, mostly just deleting the previous assemblies and re-adding new ones solve this issue. Seems like ASP.NET has a never ending caching system in their projects.

There seem to be two types of poster in the QA section.
1. Those that provide little if any details and want to be spoon fed the answer - "My application does not work. Please fix it".
2. Those that post the entire code base in the hope that some of it may prove useful. Whereas in fact it just makes the question harder to understand by increasing the noise-to-signal ration.

In circumstances such as those, I think education is the way forwards. Keep getting them to think about what they are trying to achieve, and to give them the relevant problem solving skills to find their answers, if not, then the necessary skills to properly formulate their question in a way that is helpful to the CP community to allow us to help them.
