If those were using tea, that should be reflected in the votes - it's about caffeine not coffee! and tea too have caffeine in it...

Using tea is like using decaff. Main "poison" of the tea is tein. Assuming you drink "real" tea (black or green). Herbal teas are different.

Maybe the question was supposed to be "What stimulant are you using?"

Not quite, at least as I understand it. This the same class of chemicals, but not the same molecule. Same goes for coccoa variant (theobromine)

"Theobromine is the active ingredient in Chocolate and it occurs only in Cacao. The two stimulants are related and have a similar structures, but are very different chemicals with different properties, effects and origins. There are of course, some Chocolate products that have added caffeine, but it does not occur naturally in Chocolate."

There is no such thing 'tein' (or teine or teain or teaine) in chemistry...The word created to point out - the then unknown - difference between how tea and coffee influence people...(coffee has only caffeine where tea has also some theobromine)...

But i know a coder who is drinking cacao instead of coffee.

This is not totally correct.

In Bavaria beer is considered an article of basic need. So it is allowed to be sold, the same as food or so in automats. I have seen many companies with beer in the drink machines.

Another question is responsible drinking and if this is ethic or not. But allowed, it is

Yup, in bavaria (which is not Germany anyomore, if you listen to bavarians) they are allowed to drink beer, but it's not the case everywhere in bavaria, they are slightly trying to throw that away.

Anyways, having a good ol "Feierabendbier" is still one of the best beers Smile | :)

I've been drinking tea for the last three years.
It's not that I really enjoy tea, but it's better than plain water, healthier than soda, and it's all we get at work, water, coffee or tea.
Before that I drank 0 caffeine and that's what I still drink when I'm not at work Smile | :)

I think the tea has some caffeine, but not all tea.
So I now drink very small amounts of caffeine.
I prefer to keep it that way.
I don't like being addicted to anything, not even when the rest of humanity is also addicted and it's totally acceptable.

If you drink herbal tea - like me - you drink no caffeine!
