Hmmm... I clicked the "Where am I" without entering anything in the search box and it told me I am in Kansas  . I then clicked it again and it said I am in West Virginia. At least I am not in Kansas anymore (  ), but it is still way off. Several time zones, actually. Or did I misunderstand how that feature is supposed to work?

Right where there is a Search field and a blue "Go" button to the right of that field. You should see the text "Where am I?"

Never mind, I just realized it seems to look at whatever is in the center of the map when you press "Where am I?". So when the map came up, Kansas was in the center, when I pressed it again, the map must have moved or zoomed so West Virginia was in the center.

It's strange, but I've actually been looking at OpenStreetMaps as well over the past day or so.
I've tried to place their maps on my pages using their "normal" api, but at the moment I'm having a wierd problem with DOCTYPE.
HTML page without any DOCTYPE: works brilliantly.
Declare any sort of DOCTYPE: doesn't render

Looks like OpenStreetMap.org has an HTML5 doctype. Maybe try that? Though, it also looks like they have some whitespace before the doctype declaration, which I thought was a no-no.

Cool it pin pointed me exactly when I did the where am I.
Along with Antimatter and Dark Matter they've discovered the existence of Doesn't Matter which appears to have no effect on the universe whatsoever!

It seems like you're doing this and your looking for absolution from the community. Again, it's a matter of opinion and in a real environment with coding standards, what you've done may be outlawed.
