I use Arvixe - and have for nearly three years.
Not bad - the email server appears to have problems occasionally, but they clear it fairly quickly, and it's annoying that they stopped new emails accounts being unlimited size (so my account(s) are, but some of Herselves are restricted.)
For the money, they aren't too bad at all.
The only instant messaging I do involves my middle finger.
English doesn't borrow from other languages.
English follows other languages down dark alleys, knocks them over and goes through their pockets for loose grammar.

No (non-self-inflicted) problems.
Only used the web problem ticketing system, so response time has been what would be exepcted via that sort of thing. It has always been within a day, and they follow up.
Easy to use. But, as mentioned elswhere, the web control panel is horribly slow. I avoid it whenever possible. (Use IIS Manager or SQL Manager from home, instead, for example.)

Am using them now and they are okay other than the application pool issues. I have a number of sites and they all go down at once and it can be a while till the app pool recycles. I have complained a number of times and they said they increased the size of the app pool but it still happens from time to time. Still, pretty good for the money.
Best was DiscountASP.Net but they are expensive.

Yeah I looked a them long and hard but couldn't justify the cost being a personnel site and not that much traffic and I'm retired on a fixed income!

I've been working on mine the last couple of days and wanted to publish changes and couldn't and that's how all this started.
My site is http://jaxcoder.com/[^] and I reworked the "Trip Photos" page to better showcase my talent, or lack thereof of photography. The new page still needs some tweeking but it's a far site better than the PhotoBar that's there now.

Thanks! Major trial and error getting UI the way you want it
The portfolio section is actually a Kendo UI grid. I just finished putting inline editing for description of those portfolio items when you click on a grid row (still a work in progress) - was getting tired of going to the back admin panel to input the data driven front end content. It's a full blown mvc / ef / kendo site.

Never heard of Kendo...eh a tad on the expensive side. I'm using just plain old jQuery on mine, the widgets are easy to use look fairly good and fairly light weight besides to old to keep up with all the new stuff coming out. Old brain just can't absorb everything. Been learning Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop and the learning curve is very steep but photography is something I enjoy and am getting better at so haven't got a lot of time for other pursuits.

I can't recommend Kendo UI enough .... for one thing - it will save you a major amount of work. The company is great to deal with - and for the cost to get in the game - you cannot beat it. Their grid alone is worth the price of the package if not more.
Kendo UI for MVC is a 10. Flat out.
And no - I don't work for Telerik

No telling I'm in the process of moving it over to Arvixe so it could be in and out, I no longer care.
Although it is odd because I haven't had any problems viewing it just can't ftp to it? Odd!

no i cant ftp to my site on my old host to get backups of current data, i am fairly current and i wouldnt lose much but would be nice to have it

If you're ftp'ing to Arvixe from an XP box - set your FTP client to passive mode.
That's not an issue with Win 7
|

havent had any problems with arvixe i got everything set up in an hour or so including db setup and have localhost set up to use it and its working fine, published my site and am just waiting for old host to release domain name so new host can pick it up,
