the following link will convert c# to vb.net (I use it alot and it works fine(somethimes some adjustments are needed dough)):
http://www.developerfusion.co.uk/utilities/convertcsharptovb.aspx[^]
for you'r code this is the output:
Public Class EmployeeCollection<br />
Inherits System.Collections.CollectionBase<br />
Public Default Property Item(ByVal index As Integer) As Employee<br />
Get<br />
Return DirectCast(List(index), Employee)<br />
End Get<br />
Set<br />
List(index) = value<br />
End Set<br />
End Property<br />
End Class

just noticed the code above will not compile
this will and I think it will work too (hope so )
Inherits System.Collections.CollectionBase<br />
<br />
Public Property employee(ByVal index As Integer)<br />
Get<br />
Return MyBase.List(index)<br />
End Get<br />
Set(ByVal value)<br />
MyBase.List(index) = value<br />
End Set<br />
End Property

Is what you are after a way of setting / getting the clipbard data in your code? If so then
clipboard.SetText("myString")
to add the selected text to the clipboard. Reading is a little more complicated since you might have something which is not text in the clipboard so you can...
Dim clipboardData as iDataObject = Clipboard.GetDataObject
if clipBoardData.GetDataPresent(DataFormats.Text) Then
Return clipBoardData.GetData(DataFormats.Text)
else
'The clipboard contains something other than text
end if
|
|
|
|
|
If you're using a rich text box you might also want to check if the data isn't an image since a rich text box accepts images too (altough at the moment I can't seem to get the images to display but it did it in an other program so it is possible and he'll always paste them (no errors))
however if you allow images formatting your text becomes a lot more difficult (you have to check if the selected text doesn't contain an image otherwise you'll get an error (image can't be bold or something else))

Hi
I have 1000 rows are there in our database,it takes long time for bind data to treelistview using datareader.
can u give me any solution plz
Regrds,

Does the user really need all 1000 of those nodes? The ONLY solution you have to to not populate the tree with something the user isn't going to need.

I'm going to use my psychic powser and guess your using Sql Server 2005 Express? You might want to be a bit more detailed if you expect decent help :P
If you do have Sql Server 2005 Express then read this:
http://www.datamasker.com/SSE2005_NetworkCfg.htm[^]
If your not then be more detailed. Tell us what version of Sql Server, give us the exact error message and any error codes.

sorry about that...... i am using MS SQL server .... no 2003 no 2005
plainly ms sql server
and the error is
An unhandled exception of type 'System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException' occurred in system.web.services.dll
Additional information: Server was unable to process request. --> SQL Server does not exist or access denied.

By "they" I presume you mean your employer. As for what format, many companies will have a set of templates for such things. Follow the format of the template.

See Functional Specification[^]

Why am I getting all these one-votes for my answers?
I thought the answer above would be quite useful. The link I gave gives a good overview of the subject then links out to two excellent, and more in depth, articles on the subject.
If I have somehow managed to offend someone I'd like to know what it was that caused such offence, because, quite frankly, following me around the programming forums voting practically everything I post a 1 is childish in the extreme.

I don't think its much use to ask who's doing this
if that person is really childish anough to vote 1 on every post you do I doubt he/she will be man/women enough to come out and say how he/she is
If I were you I wouldn't pay much attention to it
you're answers have been quite usefull to me in the past so I'd say keep up the good work and thanks for al you're afforts
