Hello,
in my app I heave three roles: "admin", "user" and "company". The user can heave only one role. I want that after checking the database redirect them to certain pages - more precisely their content panel. How to specify the page to redirect for each user when it is not contained in:
FormsAuthentication.RedirectFromLoginPage(userName,createPersistantCookie);
or
FormsAuthenticationUtil.RedirectFromLoginPage(userName, commaSeperatedRoles, createPersistantCookie);
I know it is specified in web.config as default and it works for your site, but, the problem is that when I type in the URL to directly access the "admin"'s content panel (admin\default.aspx) and then try to login as "user" it does not directs me to the "user"'s content panel (user\default.aspx) but it remembers the "admin"'s one (admin\default.aspx) and redirects me to login.aspx which is NOT correct. The user exists and it should redirecting me to the default user's page.
What you suggest about this?

Use alot of gotos, and never add any error checking. That helps alot.

I need a component on .net platform as per the following problem statement. Please send a draft plan for this.
Basic requirements are:
1. There would be questions requiring the student to answer with multiple, yes or no etc (consider all possible options here) online.
2. These set of questions shall be aligned to the course or subject or topic and the student ids.
3. There would be result based on the comparison of the answers given by the student and the answers available or loaded by us in those files.
4. There would be a brief summary report for student on each test.

Hello all,
Want to know whether can update data in a DataTable with condition? (like where clause in Query)
eg. in DataTable1 currently like this
Col1 Col2 Col3
007 a car
007 b book
012 a calendar
012 b pencil
012 c cup
014 a mouse
014 b phone
055 a pen
but, in Database '012' is already existed.
Thus, I want to update '012' to be '012A' in DataTable and then use SqlBulkCopy to insert data into Database.
After update DataTable1 will be as below
Col1 Col2 Col3
007 a car
007 b book
012A a calendar
012A b pencil
012A c cup
014 a mouse
014 b phone
055 a pen
Please suggest how to update this without looping through all rows in DataTable1.

There are no methods to update data in a DataTable in bulk AFAIK. You could, however, dump your datatable into a temporary table in Sql Server, do the update there, and merge after.

Either you have to go to your manager and admit that you don't know anything about those technologies and ask for some help and guidance or just admit that you blagged your way into a job for which you have not got the requisite skills and leave.
