Are you trying to say that you just want to run an instance of your application and avoid running more instances at the same time?

Socheat, I'm sorry that I still can't figure out about what you mean. Can you give another example of the name of the other application? Tell me about the way that you want to do and the way that you don't want to do.
I know about yahoo messenger but I don't understand about application behavior that you want to do in your application.

Anyone of you know hot to get item when user click on item in the listview. I want the data in listview display in the text box, can anyone give me some advice on this? The following code is my coding at Form_Load():-

In my opinion, if you could use vb.net to access to sql server, select the record, insert, update, delete, create table or database then you would be able to make an application which scan through your first database and create a new database and send all of record from your old database to the new database.

hi,
I have to upload a MS Word file from client machine in a page.After that I have to count the total no. of characters of that particular Word file. I have already written code to upload the file and save.It is working fine.But before saving how can I count the total no. of characters???
And again will there be problem if multiple users try to upload files at same time.
Please give me some link or idea.
