It's not supported by CodeProjects Forum's code. You can post the image to a webstie somewhere and include a link to the image on your website. You cannot post the image to the forum directly.

I need an algorithm that will evaluate a list of dollar amounts (up to 100 )and return the amounts that total to a specific amopunt that I provided. Can anyone write something like this for me?

Sounds like homework to me... In that case, no. You must write this yourself...

Nope, not homework, but its nice one person replied. Guess everyone else agreed with you on the homework issue.
Actually, I am an accountant. I used to use the Solver add-in in Excel to find the correct invoices matching a payment amount, but since we updated our Microsoft Office package, Solver ignores the constraints of integer and binary. I really don't like those solutions with .78565 of an invoice selected!!
Can you point me towards someone or somewhere to obtain help with this matter?
Thanks

Hi,
I have been working on a project for some time, and i tested it on a computer without vs.net installed on it the other day and it threw an error saying: (The lines just show where the error starts)
-----------
Application has generated an exeption that cannot be handeled.
Process id=0xddc (3548), Thread id=0xff8 (4088).
-----------
I have never had this program before, and at first i thought the system was simply corrupted, however when vs.net is installed on the computer it works fine.
Any Ideas?

"i tested it on a computer without vs.net installed"
Anything built in .NET requires the framework to be installed on the computers you built it for.

Yes, I have the .net freamwork 1.1 redistributable installed on all of the systems that are using my program.

I can see a lot of error message like you post above in google but it is in the difference of Process id and Thread id. I think you should post the question to Microsoft Newsgroup[^].

In VB6 was easy. In VB.NET how, please?

Hallo.
After some years of programming i finally decided it's time to move on to dot NET platform.
So, i chose to create a simple Database aware application.
I started a new project, added reference to DAO 3.6, and wrote the following
<br />
Dim db As dao.Database<br />
db = DBEngine.OpenDatabase("trivial.mdb")<br />
db.Close()<br />
The error i got was
Name 'DBEngine' is not declared.
I tried a few things, but nothing seemed to work
I know this must be trivial, so, if someone could please help me out?
Thanks

If you are using this code in VB6 then you might forget the SET keyword. Try this code:
Dim db As dao.Database<br />
Set db = DBEngine.OpenDatabase("trivial.mdb")<br />
db.Close()
Hope it is working!!!

First, DAO was deprecated a long time ago. In VB.NET, you should be using the System.Data.OleDb namespace to use an Access database. The equivelent code to what you posted would be something like this:
Dim connString As String = "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data source=" & _
"C:\[PathToMDBFile]\dbFile.mdb"
Dim myConnection As New OleDbConnection(connString)
myConnection.Open()
myConnection.Close()
BTW: DBEngine was never declared anywhere in your code.

True, in VB6 DBEngine was never used. But i read the clause DBEngine.OpenDatabase somewhere in the help of Studio .NET
It's also a part of the DAO library. DAO.DBEngine.... Still in that case it didn't let me use it, saying its not a shared member.
Anyways, OLE DB works fine, so i'll get on with it
