hello chauhan,
Events will not fire since u have changed the body.Take a fresh form and copy the application or do again the same application. This happens due to Page faults or Intialization or problems in page life cycle.
ok byee

You'll need to ask that on a PHP forum - this is for ASP.Net.
Here's a good place to get started: http://www.php.net/[^]

HI,
Which one is fast ,If DataSet store in Session or HashTable or Data Dictionary
Thanks
|
|
|
|
|
I wouldn't advise any - sessionstate shouod only be used to store SMALL amounts on information, such as user ID and maybe their name, or flags to indicate user-preferences on your site. If you start storing datasets and the like in there, you will seriously limit the scalability of your application.

|

Huh?
I can't figure out what your question is. I can tell you that 'Session' is a place you can store an Object. DataSet, HashTable and DataDictionary are all data structures that could be stored in Session.

Hi all,
How do I specify to use the images folder in the root directory?
I have a master page that is in the root of the website, and the content pages are in subfolders with one index page that is also lying in the root.
So when I open the index page in the root, all the images on the masterpage displays, but when I go to on of the other content pages within the subfolders, the images on the masterpage does not display, I dont want to copy the images folder into every subfolder that may contain a content page.

In your path are you using ~/images/img1.gif? The ~ goes to the root no matter where you are.
Hope that helps.

Not working, that even stops the masterpage from displaying the images when I am in the root index page
here is what I am using in the masterpage
that works but as soon as I enter one of the pages in a subdirectory the masterpage no longer displays the images,
when I changed it to
then the index page in root stops the masterpage from displaying the images.
I thought that because the masterpage is residing in the root of the app, it will not have an impact on where the content page is.

Switch your <img to a <ASP:Image runat="server" and then the ~ will work. The ~ only works for asp.net server controls not html controls.
Hope that helps.

Thanks, That works, if the path is entered, what I want to do now is load the paths from the database, then on server side I have an image variable which will contain the path.
But when I enter the following
(asp:Image runat="server" ImageUrl="<%=ImageURL%>" Alernatetext="" /)
then I have the problem that because the asp image is server side, I can't pass the ImageURL parameter,
Slowly I'm going to get there....
Changed the < with (, otherwise it doesn't display

If you have image urls from the database, then in the page you are using them you should call Page.ResolveUrl("~/images/img1.gif") that will return a full path to the image.
Hope that helps.

But how do I get the url variable into the asp:Image ImageUrl?

Got it working, I just add the image to the page, and in the code behind change the properties

So if you image is defined as:
<ASP:Image id="img1" runat="server"/>
Then in your code behind you have:
img1.ImageUrl = Page.ResolveURL(stringurlfromdatabase)
Don't forget you want the ~ in that url in the database.
Hope that helps.

what sql query will be used to display last 4 or 5 records from a table, i want to display the last entered records not all
|
|
|
|
|
if using sqlserver or access just
select top 5 * from..... order by ID
if using mysql use:
select * from ... order by ID limit 5
assuming you have an ID autoincrement column
(actually it's always better to explicitly state the cilumns you want rather than use * ....)

Hello Friends,
I am new to .Net world and also confused.
I want to get data from N number of web sites. I got the source code of the web page from where the data is avbl. For that Thanks to Shrinivas and Dan. Now, the source code can be saved to a file. I got to search data from the source code and save it in a Access or Excel file. The prg via which source code is avbl that is in ASP. My query is how to achieve the whole task.
I will store all URL's in an array/collection, get source code of one by one, retrieve data, save it & proceed to other url. That's how the logical loop will be. But in Retrieve Data, I cannot store the data in a String & work over it - Substr, index, etc. If I read from saved file, using which method will be beneficial - FileIOStream, StringReader or some thing else.
Where sould I write code for this all - Scriplets <% %>?
I alos got to save data, after collectiong all data in a Collection, I need to write it in Excel/access file which needs data connectivity.
Based on above queries, I would like to know how to achieve it, additionally should I do it in ASP or can it be done in VB.Net - then can I also get source code via VB.NET. I think VB will be much better for playing with other all things like Collections, SEarching etc.
Please guide me accordingly. I need to develop it at the earliest.
Thanks
Terry
