to secure the pages within a folder in an intranet application that is the way you should have the web.config file settings. so that It will allow only the user's those who are under that particular role.
what is the need for Code and database table structure? Could you please be more specific?

Hi,
I currently have an iframe sat on a classin asp page, this iframe then displays my aspx pages as we are in the process of migration to .net framework.
Currently in the classic asp page I have a javascript function that is called using the iframe onload function, this resizes the iframe according to the size of the content loaded in. It works a treat.
However my issue is how can I call that function again from within in my aspx page, say if the page grows dynamically (i.e. options or validation messages are added). Currently the content gets pushed out the iframe, so I would need to call the resize function again.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Paul Custance

Ok I answered my own question, but for those who would like to know the solution:
I called the function by "parent.parent.resize('iFrameId')"
The parent.parent called the function in my classic asp page that holds the iframe.
I then added the call to the OnResize event of the html tag on my aspx page.
Hope that helps

Hi .
I am creating dynamically dataitem for datalist and populating record to it on fly. My problem is that table does not recognize <br / >
Inside ph.Controls.Add(new LiteralControl("</td ><br /><td align = left>"));
WHAT IS THE ISSUE
PLEASE HELP...
THANK YOU
CODE THAT I AM USING TO CREATE DATALIST DATAITEM.
public void InstantiateIn(System.Web.UI.Control container )
{
PlaceHolder ph = new PlaceHolder();
ImageMap imp = new ImageMap();
Label item1 = new Label();
..
..
imp.ID = "img1";
switch (templateType)
{
case ListItemType.Header:
ph.Controls.Add(new LiteralControl("<table border=\"1\">" ));
break;
case ListItemType.Item:
ph.Controls.Add(new LiteralControl("<tr align = left><td >"));
ph.Controls.Add(imp);
<b>ph.Controls.Add(new LiteralControl("</td><br /><td align = left>"));</b> ph.Controls.Add(item1);
ph.Controls.Add(new LiteralControl("</td ><br /><td align = left>"));
ph.Controls.Add(item2);
<b>ph.Controls.Add(new LiteralControl("</td ><br /><td align = left>"));</b> ph.Controls.Add(item3);
ph.Controls.Add(new LiteralControl("</td ><br /><td align = left>"));
ph.Controls.Add(item4);
ph.Controls.Add(new LiteralControl("</td></tr>"));
//ph.Controls.Add(new LiteralControl("</table>"));
ph.DataBinding += new EventHandler(Item_DataBinding);
break;
case ListItemType.Footer:
ph.Controls.Add(new LiteralControl("</table>"));
break;
}
container.Controls.Add(ph);
}
And binding it as
static void Item_DataBinding(object sender, System.EventArgs e)
{
PlaceHolder ph = (PlaceHolder)sender;
DataListItem ri = (DataListItem)ph.NamingContainer;
/string impValue = (string)DataBinder.Eval(ri.DataItem, "photopath1");
String item1Value = (String)DataBinder.Eval(ri.DataItem, "Categoryid1");
String item2Value = (String)DataBinder.Eval(ri.DataItem, "subcategoryid1");
String item3Value = (String)DataBinder.Eval(ri.DataItem, "customerid1");
String item4Value = (String ) DataBinder.Eval(ri.DataItem, "retailprice1").ToString() ;
((ImageMap)ph.FindControl("img1")).ImageUrl = impValue;
((Label)ph.FindControl("item1")).Text = item1Value.ToString();
((Label)ph.FindControl("item2")).Text = item2Value.ToString();
((Label)ph.FindControl("item3")).Text = item3Value.ToString();
((Label)ph.FindControl("item4")).Text = item4Value;
}

<td ><br /><td >....
Nothing to do with the placeholder - it is not valid HTML to have a <br> tag placed between two <td> tags...

thanks for reply.
actually then how can i move record to next line.
please help

well it depends how yu want to display them - either put them all in one td tag with br betwen them, or else use the tr tag to start a new table row between each.
Try making up a simple html page with some sample data on it displayed how you want it, then recreate the html there in your code, inserting the records as and when needed.

actually in one i have five data to show and i would be like these data to display one below the other.
how can i do it

the put a <br> between them, but leave out the </td> <td>
|
|
|
|
|
now i change the code but it does not working
ph.Controls.Add(new LiteralControl("<tr ><td align = left >"));
ph.Controls.Add(imp);
ph.Controls.Add(new LiteralControl("</td>"));
ph.Controls.Add(new LiteralControl("<br />"));
ph.Controls.Add(new LiteralControl("<td align = left>"));
ph.Controls.Add(item1);

|
|
|

you're still putting a br between the td tags - just leave out those tow lines:
ph.Controls.Add(new LiteralControl("<tr ><td align = left >"));
ph.Controls.Add(imp);
ph.Controls.Add(new LiteralControl("<br />"));
ph.Controls.Add(item1);

My prime objective is to create one asp.net application to send fax. For which i have written the following code , and added the reference of required DLL called (fsxcomex.dll). But still i am not being able to rectify the following errors.
FAXCOMEXLib.FaxServer not defined.
FAXCOMEXLib.FaxDocument not defined .
so alternatively i tried to create Activex object for it . But it didn't work.
Here is my Complete Code : Seeking immediate respone . Thanx in advance.
Dim faxServer As Object
faxServer = CreateObject("FAXCOMEXLib.FaxServer")
Dim faxDoc As Object
faxDoc = CreateObject("FAXCOMEXLib.FaxDocument")
' Dim faxServer As FAXCOMLib.FaxServer = New FAXCOMLib.FaxServerClass
faxServer.Connect(Environment.MachineName)
' Dim faxDoc As FAXCOMLib.FaxDoc = CType(faxServer.CreateDocument(path), FAXCOMLib.FaxDoc)
faxDoc.RecipientName = RecipientName
faxDoc.FaxNumber = FaxNumber
faxDoc.DisplayName = DocumentName
faxDoc.SenderName = "SenderName "
faxDoc.SenderCompany = "SenderCompany "
Dim Response As Integer = faxDoc.Send
faxServer.Disconnect()
