Did you see this![^]
On another note, did you change the property of the controls to owner drawn?
You need to google first, if you have "It's urgent please" mentioned in your question.

yes I saw this sample, as you can see it only rotates the dialog, and not the controls, but I didn't play with it yet, you know to try to modify the code to make it rotate the dialog and the controls, do you think something like that is possible?

I haven't tried such a thing before. but it should be possible!

Hi All
I am using the library function GetShortPathName to get the (windows)path name without spaces. Unfortunately this function is not working when I am compiling my output for x64 system
The function is returning some garbage values. If it is a library function, I guess it uses C Run-Time Libraries (CRT), then why would it be different from 32 bit libraries.
please note that my hard drive has NTFS and I can also see the short path name when I use the command dir /x .
please help

Well, it doesn't use the CRT, actually - it's part of the OS and the CRT is layered on top of it.
Have you thought of checking the return code? MSDN states this:
If the function succeeds, the return value is the length, in TCHARs, of the string that is copied to lpszShortPath, not including the terminating null character.
If the lpszShortPath buffer is too small to contain the path, the return value is the size of the buffer, in TCHARs, that is required to hold the path. Therefore, if the return value is greater than cchBuffer, call the function again with a buffer that is large enough to hold the path.
If the function fails for any other reason, the return value is zero (0). To get extended error information, call GetLastError.
Check the return value and (if it's zero), GetLastError, then repost.

What about a career in project management?

I think the very first sentence is enough to guide you:
Libxml2 is the XML C parser and toolkit developed for the Gnome project (but usable outside of the Gnome platform), it is free software available under the MIT License.
Goto the download page, download and try to use it.
Good luck.

Look at the link I gave you - it's an open-source XML parser written in C/C++ that you can use instead of developing one yourself.
One of the important skills to learn as a developer is that you want to (re)use other people's software whenever it's of suitable quality.

Thanks in advance for any help...

The XML parser library has no bearing on whether your application is GUI or console - that's up to you. Use the TinyXML code and integrate it into your GUI application - that's your job, not the library's.

You just don't get it, do you - an XML parser does not care whether or not your program is a GUI or console mode. It's independent of that.

If i want to give any other xml file so,, how can i do that in tinxml...
How to input XML file...

From the TinyXML documentation[^]:
TinyXML is a simple, small, C++ XML parser that can be easily integrated into other programs
savitha87k wrote: But when i run tinxml it will automatically takes input file..

Again, looking at the TinyXML documentation, specifically TiXmlDocument::Parse[^]
Parse the given null terminated block of xml data.
Passing in an encoding to this method (either TIXML_ENCODING_LEGACY or TIXML_ENCODING_UTF8 will force TinyXml to use that encoding, regardless of what TinyXml might otherwise try to detect.
i.e. you can pass a string to the Parse method of TiXmlDocument. That string can have come from anywhere. If you look at the xmltest.cpp file that comes in the source distribution of TinyXml, you'll see code that looks like this (I've left some code out where it doesn't have any impact on this bit):
const char* demoStart =
"<?xml version=\"1.0\" standalone='no' >\n"
"<!-- Our to do list data -->"
"<ToDo>\n"
"<!-- Do I need a secure PDA? -->\n"
"<Item priority=\"1\" distance='close'> Go to the <bold>Toy store!</bold></Item>"
"<Item priority=\"2\" distance='none'> Do bills </Item>"
"<Item priority=\"2\" distance='far & back'> Look for Evil Dinosaurs! </Item>"
"</ToDo>";
{
TiXmlDocument doc( "demotest.xml" );
doc.Parse( demoStart );
That bit of code parses a string to produce an XML DOM in the variable called doc .
Another XML library option is RapidXML[^].
