hi,
i got a log file which contains many user who login on the different days at different time. A sample would be:
time mon tue wed thurs fri sat sun
0900 A B Q F K Z W
1000 D Y Q L S Q D
1100 E R G S Q Q W
1200 U E G S G F P
1300 H G D Q H G D
1400 W B E D X Z E
1500 Q H W F Z L B
1600 B H Q G S Z E
1700 D D L X E A H
1800 E W J Z L B F
1900 L M G A P C L
2000 O P F F G S D
how do i find out the number of times each user login?

Read the file and count the entries by user name. You could use an array or a map template to build the counts. You can then sort the list and display the counts in whatever way you need.

Tks alot. i will be working with that idea.

Your question is not very clear, can you show some of the code that you are using, and wat errors you see?

If Access is complaining about the name of the field/column, why not change it to something else?

hi
audiovideoplayback is in available in managed code (C#/C++).
but my requiremnet to get similar functionality in unmanaged code to control audio of video file.

Try using Google, you will find many examples to help you.

I'm wondering if there is a simple/efficient process to which i can convert from a template class to any other primitive/abstract data type.
I'll give the coding snippets that pertains to the problem I'm having..
DRIVER PROGRAM--just show what it does globally...
<br />
int main()<br />
{<br />
<br />
char cCatchVar;<br />
float fCatchVar;<br />
int iCatchVar;<br />
sExample sCatchVar;<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Stack<char> ocStack1(4);<br />
Stack<int> oiStack1(4);<br />
Stack<int> oiStack2(4);<br />
Stack<float> ofStack1(4);<br />
Stack<float> ofStack2(4);<br />
Stack<sExample> osStack1(4);<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
cout << "\n pushing value ')' in template class char...";<br />
ocStack1.push(')');<br />
<br />
<br />
cout << "\n pushing value 2 in template class int...";<br />
oiStack1.push(2);<br />
<br />
cout << "\n pushing value 12 in second template class int \n (to demostrate the != operator)... \n \n";<br />
oiStack2.push(12);<br />
<br />
and so on for the pushing and popping of the stack...
I need to be able to enforce balanced parenthesis format for whatever data types happen to be in the stack.
The way i figure is that there must be someway to be able to to recognize what data type is being used with the class template at runtime, distinguish it, and continue with the checking of the balanced parenthesis.
this is how the push function of the stack uses my incomplete balanced parenthesis class function..
<br />
template <class T><br />
void Stack<T> ::push(T c)<br />
{<br />
<br />
bool bError=false;<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
if (isFull())<br />
{<br />
cout << "The stack is full. \n";<br />
}<br />
else<br />
{<br />
iTop++;<br />
cStackArray[iTop] = c;<br />
<br />
}<br />
}<br />
<br />
<br />
this is the actual coding of my attempt for the function.....
<br />
<br />
template <class T><br />
bool Stack<T> ::checkParen()<br />
{<br />
<br />
T cCatchPop;<br />
bool bStatus1 = false;<br />
bool bStatus2 = false;<br />
bool bStatus3 = false;<br />
char cLeftPar = '(';<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Stack::iCharsInStack++;<br />
Stack::pop(cCatchPop);<br />
<br />
Stack::push(cCatchPop);<br />
if(iCharsInStack==1)<br />
{ <br />
bStatus1 = false;<br />
}<br />
else<br />
{<br />
bStatus1 = true;<br />
}<br />
if(bStatus1 == true || bStatus2 == true)<br />
{<br />
bStatus3=true;<br />
}<br />
<br />
return bStatus3;<br />
<br />
<br />
the coding above for the checkparen function is incomplete and has been deleted through, revised, completely deleted,changed around about 4 times and probably doesn't represent my best attempt at the problem. I just thought posting the code might be helpful to explain my problem anyway.
Basically i tried everything I thought would work. So any advice would be helpful.
Thank you in advance!!

Not exactly sure what you're trying to do here but I believe the C++ typeid operator should help you.

Hi,
I need the list of executables' paths registered that appear in open-with context menu for particular extensions.
I suppose that there is no managed API for that, so I might see a native approach, and convert that to managed version with pInvoke if possible...
//pseudo code:
String[] GetPathsOfRegisteredPrograms(String extension)
{
}
example usage:
String[] executablePaths = GetPathsOfRegisteredPrograms(".jpg");
//should return list:
c:\windows\PhotoAndFaxViewer.exe
c:\windows\Notepad.exe
c:\Program Files\Photoshop\Ps.exe
..and so on...
Thanks,
Michal

Hi
I'm uploading a file using CInternetSession, CHttpConnection and CHttpFile.
The program is working properly. However, I have some questions:
1. Does the program send data each time CHttpFile::Write() called? Or are all data sent when CHttpFile::EndRequest() called?
2. How big should the buffer size be(while reading from local file and writing to CHttpFile)?[Please see the source code below]
3. Does using Keep-alive connection(INTERNET_FLAG_KEEP_CONNECTION) help in any way?[Please see the source code below]
CInternetSession ises = NULL;
CHttpFile* httpf = NULL;
CHttpConnection *connection = NULL;
file=new CFile(L"file2upload.txt",CFile::modeRead);
connection = ises.GetHttpConnection(L"myserver.com");
http = connection->OpenRequest(CHttpConnection::HTTP_VERB_POST, L"upload.php",0,1,0,0,INTERNET_FLAG_KEEP_CONNECTION);
CString hdrs ;
httpf->AddRequestHeaders(hdrs);
PreFileData ;
PostFileData ;
httpf->SendRequestEx(DWORD(PreFileData.GetLength()+file->GetLength()+PostFileData.GetLength()), HSR_SYNC | HSR_INITIATE);
httpf->Write((LPSTR)(LPCSTR)PreFileData, PreFileData.GetLength());
UINT len=1024;
char buf[1024];
while(len>0){
len=f->Read(&buf,1024);
if(len>0)httpf->Write(&buf,len);
}
httpf->Write((LPSTR)(LPCSTR)PostFileData, PostFileData.GetLength());
httpf->EndRequest(HSR_SYNC);
file->Close();
httpf->Close();
connection->Close();
Thanks in advance

Dumb question, but MSDN sucks. GetWindowThreadProcessID() returns the thread ID of the thread that created the window. How do I get the thread handle of that thread when I have the ID? I need the handle so I can use WaitForSingleObject() to wait for the thread to terminate.

my teacher give an exercise:
-Outline a picture by using Bspline curve.
-Ex: Outline character 'S' , use mouse define points, these points will define Bspline curve, this curve is boundary of 'S'.
-then save the curve.
it is hard exercise for me .... !!
please help!
language is visual C++ 2005, openGL,openCV

my teacher only introduce what is Bspline and give this exercise to me...
each student in my class is the same.
they have another exercise, different from my exercise , ex: use surface to draw a face, draw a car by benzier curve...
it is realy hard....
all informations i must find out
help me... thank you very much.
