Ok, then I've missed your point. We use in our commercial apps.

You could write your own variant of CStatic which could display superscipt characters. When it comes to captions in dialogs take a look at customcaption.asp[^]. This oculd be adapted to draw superscipt characters as well.

MDI frame windows don't have active views. Instead, there's the CMDIChildWnd which has associated views. Thus you first need the active child window, then being able to get the active view:
CMDIChildWnd *pChild =
(CMDIChildWnd *) GetActiveFrame();
CMyView *pView = (CMyView *) pChild->GetActiveView();

Ok thank you very much , it's works perfectly !
now i must remember i must get the activate frame before get activate view.

Hi.
I am developing a Visual C++, MFC/ATL app. I have a HTML view so I can display HTML web pages which are stored in a CHM file or direct on disk. I want to be able to have a button on the web page which when pressed will call a function in my application. (Ie. Click Here to create a new document, File|New menu option)
If you look at Microsoft Help for active directory, you get pages where you can click on a button which will open the MMC for Users & Computers in Active Directory.
Does anyone have any Ideas how to do this?
Thanks.

Hello,
to call an application's function out of a html page, you should use the the external object provided in JavaScript. To be able to react on the fuction call, you've to implement the IDispatch interface in your application, there handling GetExternal(). This function is called whenever a call to external is done inside a web page.
To get more information, you should search MSDN for "webbrowser customization" or chtmlview and IDispatch.

Hi,
How can I put an icon in the status bar? Like Yahoo does with the icons for the status (connected, disconected).
I've tried with
m_wndStatusBar.GetStatusBarCtrl( )->SetIcon(1,m_wndMyIcon);
Although this function doesn't return 0 the icon doesn't apear.
Thanks!

Why do you call like that?
Doesn't it work to do like
m_wndStatusBar.SetIcon(...);

From MSDN Library:
int CMyStatusBarCtrl::OnCreate(LPCREATESTRUCT lpCreateStruct)
{
if (CStatusBarCtrl::OnCreate(lpCreateStruct) == -1)
return -1;
SetBkColor( RGB(0,0,250) );
HICON hIcon;
VERIFY( hIcon = AfxGetApp()->LoadIcon(IDR_PANE_0_ICON) );
VERIFY( SetIcon(0, hIcon) );
return 0;
}

Hi,
TransmitFile has 7 parameters, and the last one is DWORD dwFlag. It has 6 settings,
TF_DISCONNECT 0x01
TF_REUSE_SOCKET 0x02
TF_USE_DEFAULT_WORKER 0x00
TF_USE_SYSTEM_THREAD 0x10
TF_USE_KERNEL_APC 0x20
TF_WRITE_BEHIND 0x04
What is the differences among TF_USE_DEFAULT_WORKER, TF_USE_SYSTEM_THREAD and TF_USE_KERNEL_APC? And what is the benefit of them?

The problem:
I have, for e.g two classes A and B, and I need, that class A have a
pointer to an object of class B, when B have a a pointer to an instance of A
Each class has it's own .h and .cpp... The problem ih how to specify
the compiling and linkage of them (VS. NET)
I've decided to do this, as shown below, but under VC++ 7 it goes out with
error "A::ptr uses undefined class B" What I am doing wrong and how to fix this?
During reading MSDN, in some cases it is helpful for soving this is using the
static declaration, like static B *ptr, but I think it is a bad way...
//// A.h
class B;
#include "B.h"
class A {
public:
A();
~A();
B *ptr;
};
//// B.h
class A;
#include "A.h"
class B {
B();
~B();
A *ptr;
}
|
|
|
|
|
The standard way to cope with the situation you describe is as follows:
class B;
class A{
...
B * ptr;
}
class A;
class B{
...
A * ptr;
}
#include "A.h"
#include "B.h"
...
#include "A.h"
#include "B.h"
...

Can anyone tell me the correct way to do thread work inside COM component. Actually i am having a problem. I created a COM component. The component exposes one interface. This interface just create new thread using _beginthreadEx . So whenever client program calls this interface, the function immediately return. Now thread does something in background and then the thread function fires the event i.e call the function in client program and then thread function return.
The problem is that the client created in VB is not getting event fied from the control by its thread CAn anyone tell me the reason
|
|
|
|
|
The client must be declared like this:
Dim WithEvents client As LIB.Interface Then you must select it from the Object combo and implement the fire procedure.

Hi
I have a prob here as follow:
I have a SDI program based on CView.
From the program, a dialog box was called.
However from the dialog box i need to call the UpdateAllView function (which is found as a based function of CView) to update all Views of my main program.
Is it possible to do so ?? When i tried doing it i got a complier error "'CDocument::UpdateAllViews' : illegal call of non-static member function"
How can i go abt calling a CView based class function from a dialog based class ??
Thank you !!
