I know this might sound like a long shot but I still would like to know,
Is there a way I can create a aspx page in a library(that gets compiled into a dll) using visual studio, and then load that page from another asp.net page ?
Thanx for any advice or help

Why would you want to do this? You simply redirect from 1 page to another.

Here's why
The page i want to precomile into my library , is a page that i redirect to and this page determines if the client browser has Javascript enabled (and yes I know about the Request.Browser object but the purpose of this is to check whether or not the client has javascript enabled on his browser)
I want to share this library with my co-workers and i want it to be as easily deployable as possible, meaning just to copy the dll and call the command from the library to run the precompiled page, without having to copy any aspx into the website's folder at all.
Thanx

So you don't actually want a page, you want a class library that you can reference from any page, i.e. it doesn't need to acually be displayed in the browser. Create a new project of type Class Library and that will give you want you want.

You can try to use the IFRAME to load an asp.net page into another asp.net page.
Either you love IT or leave IT...

even though I appropriate the efforts , I don't think anyone is reading the question.
The question is , can I take a asp.net web page file (meaning the aspx and the cs file) and compile it into a library(meaning DLL file Along with a whole bunch of other code) then if I can, how do i navigate to that compiled page.

Hi,
I want to play youtube videos in my flash player using classic asp/vb script.Can i get youtube videos in the form of .flv files so that it can be played in flash player?
|
|
|
|
|
I doubt it. Why not just use the "embed" link given to you by youtube?
|
|
|
|
|
Actually i need this path to play youtube video in my flv player not in youtube player.

Well unless you contact youtube, I'm pretty sure that's not going to be possible, short of decrypting the src of youtube...

I created a mobile web page which have two labels and two textboxes and a command button. I run this small application and got the result in browser as .aspx file.
My question is how will it translate to WML? I've an Emulator accepts only either HTML or WML. but my resultant URL is in .aspx. How can i convert my custom page(ex:abc.aspx) into html or WML page to run in emulator? Can any one help me in this concept.
Thanks & Regards,
Ravi

I tried using the MS ASP.net Mobile toolkit to generate WML but I found support for it lacking. Microsoft appears to have forgotten about it. With this in mind, I developed my mobile site using simple html, I gave WML a wide berth. Most modern mobile phones support a sub-set of html anyway.

Is there a way to open a hyperlink to an image on a Classic ASP site with a dialog box which gives an option to either open it or save it?
|
|
|
|
|
Simple answer is no.
asp runs on the server, thus you have no option of save or open. Also how are you going to show dialog box?

You can force a download. What you want to do is link to another file that outputs the img along with a "force download" header. Look up the following headers (or their asp equivalents):
"Content-Transfer-Encoding", "binary"
"Content-type: application/octet-stream"
"Content-Transfer-Encoding", "binary"
'Cache-Control: maxage=3600'
'Pragma: public'
'Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="yourimage.jpg"'

ConnectionString="<%$ ConnectionStrings:ArticleConnectionString %>"
SelectCommand="SELECT [Title], [Abstract] FROM [Articles]">

</asp:ScriptManager>
<ajaxToolkit:Accordion ID="acc1" runat="server" DataSourceID="SqlDataSource1" >
<HeaderTemplate>
<a href="" onclick="return false"><%#DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "Title")%> </a>
</HeaderTemplate>
<ContentTemplate>
<%#DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "Abstract")%>
</ContentTemplate>
</ajaxToolkit:Accordion>
But i want to do this work via DataSet.
How i can do this in CodeBehind using DataSet?
I really need your help,
Thank You.
