Thanks for the response. I did find and try some meta tags suggested on other forums. The X-UA-Compatible that I found set content equal IE7, but it did not fix the problem.
What finally worked was to use page-break-before instead of page-break-after. The results should have been identical for either style code, but they were dramatically different in IE10.

Hi,
I tried to find the various settings for the startmode in app.config file.
There is apparently, "Console" and "Services". I tried researching this and could not find any listings for it. Are there any other settings?
<setting name="Startmode" serializeAs="String">
<value>Console</value>
If the application is set to "Console", then we cannot have this running as a service at the same time? Does this sound about right?
Thanks so much for your time.

That looks like an application-specific setting, not something built-in to the framework. You'll need to look at the documentation or source of the application to find out what the available settings are.

guys;
I've got a <div /> that has a z-index value of 999, but it lays over an <ol /> with z-index=1000.
I just want to know what the reason can be, because this is so confusing.
thanks in advance;

Without seeing your code in your css file I would guess you do not have the "position" set for the elements.

Sir;
you are right. But I had to set the position of the list to absolute because it suppose to present the dropdownlist of a combobox.
what should i do to solve this case.

Then maybe you didn't set the position for the div? Try adjusting that to say relative to see what it does. It always helps to just experiment with css settings to see what happens. I would also suggest searching google for help on positioning as it can be confusing and hard to understand. Some elements do not respond to anything you do which would be learned in online articles.

Thank you for your assist. I just reduced the z-index value for the div element, and it worked. (I don't need all these nines, one nine would be enough )

That's rather a lot of rather general questions; I think you should start with some Google searches for tutorials and articles on these subjects.

Is it just me or are the IE11 (on Win7) Web Developer tools completely broken?
I'm trying to change attributes on an existing element and each time I try and add a CSS rule to an element in the CSS window it just puts a line through it an ignores it. So I then right click on the element and choose "Edit as HTML", but there's no "Get out of Edit mode" button I can see, so I randomly click until it pops out of HTML edit mode, and sometimes loses my changes. When I do manage to get the attribute added it doesn't seem to take effect.
And let's not mention how often the dev tools seem to hang or just crash.
The only add-in I have is Silverlight.
Is it just me?
cheers,

I have a graduation project
and I want to work on site that combines (chat and e-cloud and Calendar)
so the site organizes the teamwork on their projects, so that the debating among themselves in a group or private, and share each other's files by e-cloud like dropbox, and the site also includes the appointment of staff functions
And clarify the date of the task on the calendar ..
, What are the programming languages which helps me to do that
|
|
|
|
|
You could start with either Java based or .Net based development.
There are other options as well for e.g. PHP which could help you achieve this task.
If you are good at scripting languages PHP may not be a bad choice.

Do you mean a file input with a file type specific open file dialog?!!
if so, then you can handle onchange event to reject undesired file types instead, as i don't think there is a suck thing.

Do you mean onchange event in the css of the button?
|
|
|
|
|
No, Sir;
I mean the java script event of the file input. Look;
$('input[type=file]').change(function(){
var fileInput = $(this);
var fileName = fileInput.val();
var extention = fileName.subString(fileName.lastIndexOf('.'));
});

I'm not planning on using javascript for this sir. Just a html button that would open a dialogue box/file explorer where i would select .txt files
