It should work.. I tested it in Opera and IE. Where are you calling the function from? Because in IE it's a bit awkward, I think you have to call it on the onLoad() handler or after it or something..

I tested in FF3 and IE6.
I call it on the onLoad handler.

You can also use document.body.offsetHeight, however this will only return the browser client height if there is no vertical scrolling on the page, and if you dont want the DIV to be larger than the client height of the browser just assign this to a variable on the onLoad handler and use it afterwards?
Also, try out IE 7 - document.body.clientHeight worked fine for me there.
Hope this helps,

None that will work cross-browser right now. Of course, you could use Flash, but then you have to use Flash...

Hi Guys,
Is there a simplier way of creating a task scheduler in asp.net? I would like to run one of my aspx in a scheduled task manner, every 12 midnight daily.
Thanks

Hello, hopefully this is an easy one...
I would like to link to content on my web page from the link listed below.
http://www.driangle.com/catalogue/mouldings_content-200.htm
My goal is to to show this web page to a user, but after some preprocessing. For example I would like to show them this content without the background of the original page and also I would like to not show the order buttons.
The reason for this is that the company I'm working for is a reseller of these products. I want to put the reseller themes to this content.
Is it possible to do this with some web code?
I realize that I could take the brute force route of just copying the web page code and saving snippets to my website, but I thought that there should be some dynamic method available. I'm guessing I'm not the first person on the planet wanting to do this.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
MADCHAD

Unless the site presents some interface through which you can obtain the data independantly of the HTML then no, there is no way to get at it other the scraping the page.

You need Screenscraping. Alternatively check if the provider website has an API.

Hi,
I have a page that uses screen scrape a page (doesnt have an api) but need to do some customisation with this data. So i need to be able to pick out the data between '' & '' tags.
Im assuming the way to do this is via regualr expression (regex)? However im no Regex expert and am in need of some serious help.
If anyone could give me the expression i need, i will be able to work out the code required to apply it. Or even a good pointer would be of benefit.
Many Many Thanks.

{
var els = document.getElementsByTagName("option");
for(i=0;i<els.length;++i)>
}
}
Hope this helps,

Hi,
I have an XML file which is stored in a folder named XML and i have an RPT file (stored in CrystalReports folder) which has been designed by using this XML file as datasource. The report works fine in my local machine. But, when released in the server it is not working, it is giving the message like "Database logon failed".
My Code behind,
repDoc = New CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument
repDoc.Load(Server.MapPath("~/Reports/CrystalReport/MyReport.rpt"), CrystalDecisions.Shared.OpenReportMethod.OpenReportByDefault)
repDoc.SetDataSource(Server.MapPath("~/Reports/XML/MyXML.xml"))
CrystalReportSource.Report.FileName = Server.MapPath("~/Reports/CrystalReport/MyReport.rpt")
Do anyone know why it is not working.
Regards

Hi I have the same problem.
But I pass the crediential to the report at run time
Code:
Dim myFields As CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ParameterFieldDefinitions
Dim thisField As CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ParameterFieldDefinition
Dim myValue As CrystalDecisions.Shared.ParameterDiscreteValue
Dim my_Param_Name As String
Dim my_Param_Kind As CrystalDecisions.Shared.ParameterValueKind
Dim crCurrentValues As CrystalDecisions.Shared.ParameterValues
Dim _report As New CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument
_report = New CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument
_report.Load(Server.MapPath("~/Report/Extraction_Event.rpt"))
_report.SetDatabaseLogon("XXX_USER_NAME", "XXX_PASSWORD", "SERVERNAME", "DATABASENAME")
myFields = _report.DataDefinition.ParameterFields
For Each thisField In myFields
myValue = New CrystalDecisions.Shared.ParameterDiscreteValue
my_Param_Name = "_GUID" 'thisField.ParameterFieldName
my_Param_Kind = thisField.ParameterValueKind
myValue.Value = Session("_GUID").ToString '"" _DTParameter.Rows(i).Item(1)
crCurrentValues = thisField.CurrentValues
crCurrentValues.Add(myValue)
thisField.ApplyCurrentValues(crCurrentValues)
Next
CrystalReportViewer1.EnableDatabaseLogonPrompt = False
CrystalReportViewer1.ReportSource = _report
End Sub

General advice is......
Design for Firefox and then it will usually work in both.
Other than that, the only advice i can give is start the design again.

I am using IIS 5.0. Now ,in case of any error, internal IP or server name gets displayed in the address bar. I want to get rid of that. I have searched on net to find following command:
adsutil set w3svc/UseHostName True
If anyone has used this command, could you please tell if it helps.
I am not trying to use it myself as MS says "Use the Adsutil.vbs file at your own risk."
Another option that I have is to switch to higher version of IIS. But thats going to take time and I want to fix it soon.
