How to make visible - true or false and Enable - true or false for the controls inside the footer template of a datalist dynamically.
I have two buttons for paging in the footer one for Previous and other for Next . If the last page is true in datalist paging i should change the button to visible false.
Can i have a piece of code.

Are you using your own prevous/next button or are you using the custom ones?

To be honest it seems like needing this function comes from a strange design decision somewhere else. Why do you need to subtract an object from another object?

Hi
I have an asp:Button for registering in my site and asp:Login to login in my site. For the both of the buttons, I want to have my images as background, so I put background: url(my image path) but still I am getting the same buttons in the page. Is there other way to get my images as buttons.
Here is my code for asp:login
<asp:Login ID="LoginForm" runat="server" RememberMeText="Remember me" TitleText="" RememberMeSet="True" TextLayout="TextOnTop" VisibleWhenLoggedIn="False" CreateUserText="Create an Account" CreateUserUrl="~/CreateUser.aspx" PasswordRecoveryText="Forgot your Password?" PasswordRecoveryUrl="~/RecoverPassword.aspx" PasswordLabelText="Password" UserNameLabelText="User Name" LoginButtonImageUrl="~/images/Login.png" LoginButtonText="Sign In" CssClass='loginBox'>
<CheckBoxStyle HorizontalAlign="Left" Width="150px" Wrap="True" />
<TextBoxStyle Width="160px" />
<LabelStyle HorizontalAlign="Left" Wrap="False" />
</asp:Login>
thanks

The 'LoginButtonImageUrl' property contains the URL of the image rendered as the Login control login button when the 'LoginButtonType' property is set to 'Image'.

sqldr1 is my sqlreader.
After the process in the try catch block, I'm closing the reader in the finally block.
Try...catch
Finally
sqlDr1.Close()
sqlCmd = Nothing
End Try
Here I am getting the following warning msg. What I have to do?
Variable sqldr1 is used before it has been assigned a value.
A null reference exception could result at run time. Tnx in adv.

The error message basically means what it says
You are using sqldr1 before you have given it a value and in which case it will be empty when you run it.
Thats my opionion anyway!

If you are assigning 'sqlDr1' in the try block, and if the exception occurred when you are assigning 'sqlDr1', it goes to Finally, But 'sqlDr1' is still nothing.
That is the meaning of the warning.

Hi,
When the SqlDataReader object is null, there is nothing for it to close. So, you will get this warning. What you could do is add this code to your finally block.
finally
{
if (sqlDr1 != null)
{
sqlDr1.Close();
}
}
Thx,
Gayani

This also happen if you do this:
SqlDataReader rdr;<br />
<br />
try<br />
{<br />
<br />
}<br />
catch(Exception ex)<br />
{<br />
<br />
}<br />
finally<br />
{<br />
if(rdr != null)<br />
{<br />
rdr.Close()<br />
rdr = null;<br />
}<br />
}
Simple fix is do this:
SqlDataReader rdr = null;
