Problem is in your Global.asax file. It has an inherits attribute which is pointing to incorrect location or old assembly. If you are not using Global.asax , remove it or fix the inherits attribute.

Hi,
I am using .net 2.0 and sql server 2005. I have added the assemblies like
Microsoft.SqlServer;
Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Common;
Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo;
in my project. But that project is not running in sql server 2000. It needs those dlls. In my project there is no dll files in the bin folder. Please help me to rectify this error.
Thanks.

I think that the assemblies you probably need are System.Data & System.Data.SqlClient. What are the items you have referenced for?
|
|
|
|
|
The assemblies OP mentioned comes with SMO (SQL server management objects) class library.

Hi,
I am getting the following error :
Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo, Version=9.0.242.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89845dcd8080cc91' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
If sqlserver 2000 is installed in a system instead of sqlserver2005, I can' locate the SMO reference. The references I added are
Microsoft.sqlserver.connectioninfo
Microsoft.sqlserver.smo
Microsoft.sqlserver.smoenum
Microsoft.sqlserver.sqlenum
If we add these references, is any dll files will be created in the bin folder or we have to explicitly copy this dll to the bin folder?

Do you have SMO[^] libraries available?

|

Hi,
I have SMO libraries in SQL SERVER 2005.

Hi,
Yes, I run it from IIS.
Thanks.

I think the problem releted with IIS , as Navneeth says try to figure out the error from EventLogs [ Run - > eventvwr ] or try to check using restart IIS.
cheers,
Abhijit

|
Goto Control panel -> Administrative tools - > Event viewer and check what is the error logged.

Hi Navaneeth,
I checked the Event Viewer. The following text is shown in the Description box.
A driver packet received from the I/O subsystem was invalid. The data is the packet.
How to rectify this error? Is it necessary to restart the IIS in my system?
Thanks.

Hi to Everyone,
This is the first time I work with active directories. And I get some problem which I couldn't solve.
The problem is:
There are two different projects I am working on. I use the same code to check the role of the user in both projects, but it returns "true" in one, and "false" in the other one.
The code: User.IsInRole("Xxxx\\XxxAdmin");
- In the project which I get the role of the user false, I got the project from VS Source Safe(maybe this can be the cause of problem, I am not sure).
- In the project which I get the role of user true I created the project in my local machine.
Is there anyone who faced this problem so far?
Thanks...

First of all Check for both the case your application should run on your domain.

Try to create a local copy of the aplication and check the error is coming or not.

Thanks Abhijit,
but I am still facing the same problem.
I did what you said - got the local copy of the project -.
To do this I just created the copy of the project with a different name and removed the 3 Source Safe files from it. But I think it is not working locally, because, it is still affecting the original code. I mean, if I change the code from the new renamed project, it also affects the original one which I can see from IIS. I think I did not get it locally.
For this reason now I am investigating on IIS.
Thanks a lot...
