Can we assign same domain name to multiple websites on same web server?
|

I am not sure what you are trying to achieve.
Even if you do so, say some how, which website you want to return when user will navigate to that website?
I could think of the following scenario you could do:
1. You can create different sub domains and assign each sub domains to each website.
2. You can also write your own ISAPI extension to redirect to different websites based on your need/logic on the same web server.
3. Easiest of all, assign domain to a default website, create a custom http handler, server.transfer to other site based on the your business logic.
Hope this will help.

You may have to use a CustomValidator rather than a RequiredFieldValidator.

Hello,
I have placed a website online and now I would like to be able to place search words so that google can find that site...
How can I add search words for this website in google please?
Thanks

This is taking the wrong approach to the problem. It's a common assumption that having search words will drive people towards your site in Google, but that's a misconception. What you need to do is investigate Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), which targets things like having quality inbound links and extremely well laid out pages with well written text.

The best way to get Google interested, is having links to your site on many other sites, already known to Google; it also may not be the easy way... Putting your website's URL in the relevant field of your CP profile is a small step in that direction.
Then there is http://www.google.com/addurl.html[^], however I always have had my doubts about it.
A lot has been said and written about SEO, and only some of it has been valid at some point in time; Google keeps improving its system to keep lousy material out, and give meaningful rankings to valuable material.
Warning: there has been a time where the (X)HTML of your page had to be exact for Google to scan you; if you claimed XHTML and made a mistake, your page got ignored for sure. this[^] is a good validator.
And whatever you try, be prepared to wait a typical 2 to 4 weeks before any result will show.

guys;
i use this code to reset a group of radiobuttons. but it gives me 'radiobuttons is null or not an object' (the code below)
Dim resetmycontrols As String = _
"var radiobuttons = document.getElementsByName('MyGroup');" & _
"var checkboxes = document.getElementsByName('MyGroupChk');" & _
"var i = 0;" & _
"for(i = 0; i <= radiobuttons.length; i++) radiobuttons[i].checkd= false;" & _
"for(i = 0; i <= checkboxes.length; i++) checkboxes[i].checkd= false;"
ScriptManager.RegisterClientScriptBlock(Me, Me.[GetType](), "resetmycontrols", resetmycontrols, True)
what should i do?

In which line? Also Include the HTML code in your question.

Actually, this code will be rendered as a single line.
but the exception is thrown exactly on radiobuttons.length in the first for loop.
About the HTMl, I have 2 tables the first contains in each row a radio button with the name 'MyGroup' e.i.
<table>
<tr>
<td>
<input type="radio" name="MyGroup" />
</td>
</tr>
<table>
the other contains in each row a checkbox with the name 'MyGroupChk' e.i.
<table>
<tr>
<td>
<input type="checkbox " name="MyGroupChk" />
</td>
</tr>
<table>

Well, I know it will render as a single line, But I asked the same.
OK, is your page using master page?
|

Yes, but there is no 'runat="srever" on the radio buttons nor the checkboxes.

Hi, maybe u shud post the html where the 'MyGroup' and 'MyGroupChk' are.
Make sure that indeed those two elements have an attribute called name="MyGroup" for instance, otherwise if it's an id="MyGroup" then correct your code like so:
var radiobuttons = document.getElementsById('MyGroup');
var radiobuttons = document.getElementsById('MyGroupChk');
and again in your loop you may want to correct this:
radiobuttons[i].checkd=false;
to:
radiobuttons[i].checked=false;
In case you are using master pages, make sure that your controls still maintain the same name/id when viewed on client side (right-click -> View Source)
Good luck.

Sir;
thank you for correcting my ".checkd "
In the same I am going to make you a favor and correct your document.getElementsByID('SomeId') to document.getElementById('SomeId') (without s).
Actually, we use document.getElementById('SomeId') to get an element with an id of 'SomeId'.
And also document.getElementsByName('SomeName') to get an array of elements sharing the same neme of 'SomeName' such as radio buttons or checkboxes in the same group.

Dude, you couldn't create only one thread with one question and there to write all what you need, instead of creating one thread for each question?!

I prefer one thread per question. Has a few advantages. For one, when people come back later to find answers to similar questions, they aren't deluged with irrelevant information... they get a single question and its corresponding answer. Also easier to tell when the question has been answered and doesn't force a single person to answer all of the questions when they may only know the answer to one.

for what its not worth, I agree with you.

There are many ways to get dimensions* of an image.
- If the image is stored in the database u can use the Bitmap class to get the dimensions.
- You can use JQuery/Javascript to get the dimensions
- If you want to resize the image before previewing it then use the Graphics + Bitmap
hope this helps
