HI Pete,
here is morning and i begin to work ,
i post the error that you asked me :
"A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to Sql Server..."
In the software there is a file app.config with the string to connect to the SqlServer :
< ?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"? >
< configuration >
< configSections >
< /configSections- >
< connectionStrings >
< add name="Card3D.Properties.Settings._3DCardConnectionString"
connectionString="Data Source=CHICHI\ERUSYAKO;Initial Catalog=3DCard;Integrated Security=True"
providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />
< /connectionStrings >
< /configuration >
SqlServer stay on my laptop and both computer are connect in Lan(Intranet)...
maybe i wrong in this step that follow during the creation of the file.exe with ClikcOnce :
How will users install the application?
There are 3 option
1 - From a Website.
2 - From a UNC path or file share
3 - From a CD-ROM or DVD-ROM .
I choose the number 3 ....that 's right or not?
I hope my details can help you to understand where i wrong
However i wish you happy health.
Bye

Try the steps in this[^] post. Let me know if this doesn't resolve your issue.

When we supply applications for general use, this is what we do.
ascotravel wrote: 2 - From a UNC path or file share
That's the one we tend to go with for client site installs. That way, your users can get access to the application with the minimum of hassle.

So - let me see if I've got this straight. You have Sql Server installed, and you are using trusted connections. You've set SQL Server up to accept incoming connections and you've rolled it out. I have to wonder if the problem has to do with the database server not being able to identify users as trusted users. Are you running the database on the same domain as the users?

Hi Pete,
i don't wish make you wonder
Pete say :
Are you running the database on the same domain as the users?
DO you mean if i changed the database on a different computer where i develop the project so doing the connection string is wrong?
I have the database on my laptop in the file app.config of the project i insert the string connection of the database SqlServer and when i create the file.exe with CLickOnce i choose the option n. 3 From a CD-ROM or DVD-ROM .
I will give you more details to make you understand better i have Vista and i turn off the option User Account Control UAC....the firewall is okay as using trusted connection
Ask me maybe i forget to tell you some detail..
Thanks!!!

Hi Pete,
i'm testing but with not good result .
Now i receive this error:
Login Failed for user " . The user is not associated with a trusted SQL SERVER Connection
I check out of rules to make SQL SErver connect with the client, with firewall and so on but nothing ..
I will continue to work out this feature if you have some idea let me know,
however i wish you a good weekend with your family.

Try using a better subject line, as you can see your just being ignored with "error"
only two letters away from being an asset

WHAT "says" that?
Is this just your own Silverlight apps or any Silverlight apps?

There is a consumer version and a development version of Silverlight.
Make sure you have the latest versions.

I think you haven't installed "Silverlight 2 Tool for Visual Studio". Actually, you should get this error when you open the Silverlight project. Not when you run.
