I develop software for a living, specialising in VB.NET and SQL Server. In my "spare" time (what little there is of it!) I enjoy developing games and 3d-graphics-based applications in C++ and C# using DirectX and XNA. The rest of my time is spent being a happy husband and dad.
I have been programming computers for over 25 years, starting all the way back in the late '70s with a Commodore PET. Since then I have used a variety of 8-bit and 16-bit home computers. The Amiga was probably the one I become most familiar and experienced with.
Since then I have spent a lot of time learning my way around Windows on a variety of PCs.
I am currently spending a lot of time developing applications for Microsoft's new Windows Phone 7 platform. I recently finished a book for this platform entitled
Windows Phone 7 Game Development (published by
Apress).
