iPhone takes about that. Rarely have to reboot it. More than I'd like though.

Just talking about this with my wife earlier today. My phone is cheap and dumb. If i break it, drown it, or lose it, i can get another one for less than the cost of one year of insurance / extended warrantee. It's also built like a brick, so in spite of numerous drops, crushes, and spills, it's working fine. I can and do toss two of them in one pocket before going for a ride, without misgivings as to whether either one will arrive worse for wear (although occasionally i do make some unintentional calls that way).
I must confess though, i am intrigued by the iPod Touch Skype hacks...

I still haven't gotten around to it, but my Nokia E61i is capable of doing that as well, not only that but also calling through any IM VOIP servce.
To top it off, I've never had to replace or repair my Nokias, they're tough and I'm quite clumsy. Barring the occasional scratch, there's nothing wrong with them.

Don't know about the iPod but there's an app called Fring for the Symbian 3rd Edition devices (N95 etc) and it's great, especially around Uni where there's WiFi for us students.
[note]Skype have also released a beta but haven't had much success with it yet[/note]
I doubt it. If it isn't intuitive then we need to fix it. - Chris Maunder

TruPhone works pretty well. There is also a "web text" (SMS) app. that uses up your free web text bundle (Irish only, not sure if American call plans include free web-texts.)
(I've got an old Nokia I use when riding/sailing/hiking. The iPhone has survived numerous drops but it is expensive to replace all the same.)
