That's not the same as the foreach under discussion.

Function for_each(
InputIterator _First,

Bob Slydell: You see, what we're actually trying to do here is, we're trying to get a feel for how people spend their day at work... so, if you would, would you walk us through a typical day, for you?
Peter Gibbons: Yeah.
Bob Slydell: Great.
Peter Gibbons: Well, I generally come in at least fifteen minutes late, ah, I use the side door - that way Lumbergh can't see me, heh heh - and, uh, after that I just sorta space out for about an hour.
Bob Porter: Da-uh? Space out?
Peter Gibbons: Yeah, I just stare at my desk; but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch, too. I'd say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual, work.

LOL it is, the option for "It varies too much from day to day"....reality: unless you're a coder always working from strict spec, you aren't going to be at full production burn every day...Joel Spasky (sic) who publishes a blog called Joel on Software and runs his own company in NYC comments that in some eight hour days he's lucky to get two hours of work done...Some days I do just zone out, some days I turn out post-graduate work in less than an hour...

Oh yes... In fact, in our office, we have to get out the building --to the street-- so we can smoke. Now, the bosses are building a terrace so we don't have to go outside. This way, they hope that we reduce our break time (from 10 mins to 5 mins, I believe).

Heh. Most likely they'd ask for a (free) cigarette.
Seriously though, they wouldn't mind if we don't throw the remains to the street. As long as we throw it to an asher or to the trash, there's no problem.

sooner or later, he is going to take a break from his life. I know this is Out of Topic but the concept of chain smoking is very disgusting that they not only spoil themselves but with 'passive smoking' jeopardize the health of the surrounding ambience and society as well.

Oh good grief. Yes, from outside and across the street I'm jeopardizing your health while you're in the building.
I go outside to smoke every hour and a half or so. From now on I'll also make it a point to exhale on anyone who I think might be thinking preachy thoughts. I figure if you're gonna' make things up anyway you might as well have something real to complain about.

Got my 5. I am very very tired of hypercaffeinated hypertensive hypocrites haranguing me with their hyperbolic descriptions of the heinous crime I'm committing by smoking, and what I'm doing to myself, them, my family, anyone I've ever met, the endangered species of the world and the global credit crunch. I have more respect for the people that just tell me I'm a dumbass for messing with my health an leave it at that. Smokers are already marginalised enough.

this is the biggest load of non sense humanity has ever come up with, i mean think about it LOGICALLY like a PROGRAMMER is supposed to think...
the smoke i ex-hail has been filtered through my cigarette's filter, my lungs, AND the air between me and you... by the time it reaches YOU theres nothing left to harm your fragile little lungs
if u want to moan that it stinks and its unpleasant for non smokers then SAY WHAT YOU MEAN, dont make stuff up that isn't true and/or be a sheep and just believe and follow everything you hear (second hand smoke kills)
im sorry if this comes across sounding like im gunning you down, but this is one of the few topics that drives me up the walls! another is when a im sick and a non smoker will make a comment about my smoking habits, as if non smokers never get sick...

I will get cramps in my stomach if I'm in the same room as a smoker... have since I was a kid. Also it's not just what comes out of your lungs but what burns off the end of the cigarette when you're not puffing on it.

Thanks voice of doom for clearing that one up, if only smokers knew this stuff already surely they'd quit in a flash!
Seriously, nagging smokers with this crap makes absolutely zero difference, don't waste your time. They all quite when they are good and ready to or die, not a moment before.
