And no, I don't trust dating sites nor their AI.

But who makes matches nowadays? Gas stoves have integrated piezo starters. Smoking is on the way down (at least in most countries in Western Europe), and anyway, gas lighters have taken over most of the market. That also goes for lighting candles and fireplaces.
Anyway, matches have been made for hundreds of years. The technology is well known, and requires no AI.
(By the way: The same goes for matching young males with young females.)

After all the verbal fights I have had with the chat bot of my bank (as well as with the one I left a year ago), I am happy to see that I am not alone. At least for the moment, 'Help solve a problem with my banking via a chat bot' is at the very bottom of the ranking list. That is where it belongs.
But, also, that may be the alternative most of us have seen in practice, knowing how 'reliable' it is. For lots of the other alternatives, we are still as over-confident in AI as the media hype wants to make us.

Yeah, why is this even an option, has someone actually tried this? It's terrible.
It just leads to a delay in getting a human to chat with you, or worse, it just tells you to call their call centre.
Cheers,
Vikram.

Has a voice command that mught be powered by some sort of AI. It is quite reliable, though it has more issues understanding its own standard commands rather thna complex addresses.
I end up having to repeat often the commands "Go home", "Abort trip" and "Go to work" while saying "Go to Corso Felice Cavallotti 64, Asti" is 100% accurate (the address is my favourite pub btw).

For the location of a pub, I guess it has been very well trained in fuzzy logic and unclear input

Maybe only the last one succeeds because it expects the first three to be in Italian.

Most GPS systems I have used have a horrible understanding of one simple instruction. "Avoid Freeways"
There is one place near my company's headquarters where almost every GPS tries to get me on the freeway, just to avoid the same 3 blocks of surface streets, where there is seldom any traffic. This, when the "Avoid Freeways" setting is enabled.
Money makes the world go round ... but documentation moves the money.

My orcs were much better than the usual mile long if/else code. You changed something in the game and they adapted. The players found a way to beat them and they adapted. Until I gave them one option too much and they found a way to fulfill my directives without too much effort. Communism! And that was the end of them.
I have lived with several Zen masters - all of them were cats.
His last invention was an evil Lasagna. It didn't kill anyone, and it actually tasted pretty good.

F.E.A.R. was known to have a badass AI, and it wasn't by design. I remember that game being frankly terrifying because after decades (I played it only recently) of FPS with dumb mooks these one would actually coordinate, flush the player with grenades and concentrate fire on the escape routes.

Nope, so AI ML advanced statistics might just be my next best bet

The last six AI waves have, after a few years ended up as 'advanced statistics' or something along those lines. The current AI wave has lasted longer than I expected, and I am still waiting for socalled 'AI algorithms' to be sorted out and grouped with other - maybe 'simpler', but nevertheless in the same class - algorithms, and the 'AI' label abandoned. As it has been abandoned numerous times before.

human are making errors, which AI wont do or get trained. So it good for routine jobs with little differences and no need to handle special situation.
AI is really good in cancer detection for one reason. Think about it before read the solution.
Have you tought about? I hope, the reason is typical advance of computer: they are fast and have massive information.
Only few doctors know all different flavors of cancers. The pure amount of symptoms is the problem for human: to learn, remember in a moment and apply the knowledge.
And the biggest: The AI has the "latest updates of science", the human doctors is trailling because of "information overflow"
