Thanks for the links.
I've been reading Typescript Deep Dive by Bassarat Ali Syed, a free download but can't remember where I got it. It's pretty good but parts are very confusing. I'll check out the links you sent in the morning!

Well, basically as long as you don't deal with pure JavaScript there is no need for TypeScript at all. In case if your work require to write JS, then TypeScript for sure will help you to easily maintain the code.
