Nope. I don't want to put a serious topic as a lounge discussion. The lounge is for relaxation. Here we are discussing a really serious issue here Colin. You must try not to under estimate the importance of what we are talking about. It has very serious implications too, if you have not noticed already.

I dont think I am over-reacting here at all. I seriously think that if people feel they are slightly loony they should admit to it. It is not as if there is anything abnormal about looniness. A little bit of looniness is only good for you. You would be an average Joe otherwise.
As programmers it's even more important that we learn to accept this looniness. By default a lot of people think programmers are perverted nuts. I think they mistake a little gentle looniness for perversion and that's what causes all this confusion and hype about nerds.
The word nerd is nothing but a nice word for a loony programmer. I believe we should all come forward and say aloud that WE ARE LOONIES AND PROUD OF IT TOO.

It's not posto-mania here. It's basically my annoyance at being branded a loony and attacked for it, when the rest of the loonies hide behind their shells. Why am I attacked for my looniness which I have openly accepted? That was all I had aversion to, in this entire episode.
The fact that a loony is okay if he keeps his looniness a secret but is not okay and needs medication if he publicly acknowledges the fact.

Obviously, it is not easy to add anything to my statements because they were so comprehensive and thorough. I must admit that I did a good job in wrapping up the poinbts in that post of mine. It might be mistaken for vanity but I sure admire my own sense of lunatic appreciation.
It takes a crack to change the world. Newton, Einstein, Homer, Julius Caesar, Napolean, Hitler are all former categorized loonies. If they hung up their boots because they were emotionally disoriented by their neighbours' wives calling them as loonies, this world would still be in the bronze age.

I hope that last one was a joke becuase C# is as bad as HTML and MS is not the be all and end all of programming (maybe they are the be all and end all of HIGH level languages).
