I read or heard something somewhere that said if you exercise "diligently", you MIGHT extend your life by 2 years. I'll give up the 2 years.

Its not about extending life! its about increasing the power of thought and Healthy living!

"New ageism" What scientific study makes you think exercise increases the power of thought. That ought to mean that athletes must all be exceptionally, smart guys. I don't think so.

Regular exercise helps you to think more clearly which is important in our profession. Since you dun exercise regularly, you do not feel this beneficial effect and believing it to be myth.

70+ pounds of pull so my pace is around 16 minutes a mile. 2 to 3 miles depending on what other dogs we have to maneuver around. My dog loves people but is afraid of his own genus.

I meet my wife at the gym two days a week after her yoga class and we work out together for an hour. I mow a half-acre, bag it, put it in the compost once a week. The days I don't work out at the gym I do kata for half an hour in the mornings and practice on the body bag. I've done this since I left the infantry to get my comp sci degree in 1982.

Used to do yoga postures regularly some years ago; but nowadays, only rhythmic breathing, aka pranayama.

If walking the dogs for 10-15 miles a day counts as exercise, if not - you haven't walked my dogs

I tried jogging 4 - 5 KM everyday. The longest stretch of days is 14 days. I was so tired out, so now I jog on every other day.

I do.
I run Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8-10km. I commute to work on my bicycle and lift weights on Tuesday and Thursday. I do a long ride or a long run on the weekends.

I did - I walk our dog every day (that's about an hour a day - and brisk walking is (IMO) exercise) and also play football (soccer, if you're American) a couple of times a week...
Java, Basic, who cares - it's all a bunch of tree-hugging hippy cr*p

Wow, that's awesome, Rama
I signed up at a gym, went 3 times a week for about 4 months, and then for another two years never went, but kept paying the large monthly fees, until I got to my senses and cancelled the gym membership. Need to somehow get beck to exercising.
