Looking for a good break. Ever since 2010 after left my full time position in India, a string of stigma is haunting seriously, which is jeopardizing my mental tranquility to the greatest extent that could be envisaged by normal human brain.
At the moment, remuneration is not a concern but just peace of mind sans which my peace is being torn into pieces.

I currently only have about 3.5mo of work locked in and because my employer's a govt contractor if the idiots in Washington continue to point spiting the other party ahead of fixing the federal budget and let sequestration bite it could get ugly.

I was thinking about it.. From what country you have moved? To what country? I'm in Italy and I was thinking about Switzerland..
Last year I received a job offer from the U.S. and I refused; thinking by now I have been a stupid!

25 years ago I moved from Britain to Germany, which doubled my salary and had many other benefits, the weather among others.
If your English is good you can move just about anywhere. As long as you are young and mobile you should go for it. You can go back anytime, with money in the bank and an impressive CV.
Don't worry about the language, if you can do C++ you can learn any meat-language in a few weeks (except Finnish  ).

Thanks for your advices, I will think about it seriously.
I'm 30 years old, currently I am working for a private company and I am developing (all by myself) a factory management software (orders, production, quality, packaging, delivery) with no help from anyone and for a salary that makes me barely pay the bills.
There is no better job opportunity for the future in my area, and the situation here in Italy is going every day worse..
Damn, I think I could handle a little bit of english!

I came here as a contractor for 6 months and last year I celebrated 25 years. They even gave me a watch with my name engraved, I kid you not.
Anyway, I stayed and stay because of various reasons:
Brilliant canteen
Good pay
Good working conditions
Fun job mostly
Nice colleagues
But most of all:
I don't suppose I would be better off anywhere else...

Are you still on contract after 25 years?
I thought I was bad enough 8 years into a 3 month contract and still a contractor!

No, no, after two years they changed the law and long term contractors had to leave or become employees. We still have long-term contractors but they work for contracting companies and are not self-employed, so they don't earn more than the rest of us.
Anyway, it's nice here, so I decided to stay. I think the spousal unit had something to do with that too...
