yes , we use SourceSafe and since one year subversion, but we move to mercurial in the next 6 month. What about IBM's ClearCase? I worked 5 years, not an easy tool but very powerfull, I miss it.

Not only are we stuck on version 6 for some reason... We have Visual Studio 2010 connecting to it.  I didn't even know that was possible before starting here.

Still do here but desperately trying to get management to invest in something more current. The size of the Add File dialog was a source (pun not intended) of amusement today. Tip, don't use deep folders!

I'll give you a hint: I edited one of the SourceSafe DLL's in Visual Studio's resource editor and fixed the dialog size problems.

I've used a variety but just by using them doesn't mean that I'd re-use or recommend them, and in fact some I'd avoid like the plague.

Apart of the fact that still nobody has said is using the BaconVersionClistCtrl...
I'm using Subversion because a long long time ago it was the choosen one in my company...
But after hearing reading so much about GIT I've imagined that more people would be using it.
It seems that is not the case...
Is the reason that old one that says "if it works don't touch it"? or is there something else here?

The survey asks "What Source Code Control systems do you use?", yet only one answer can be selected. I happen to use multiple source code control systems (TFS and Subversion).

That's right. At work we have TFS but for private projects I use Git(hub).

TortoiseSVN is just an interface for the Subversion. So You should vote for subversion. I too use TortoiseHG, which is a similar interface for Mercurial.

I really din't even heard these software before.

Remember, that the survey is not about which Source Code Control system is the best, only about which are actively being used. That can be a huge difference.

That's usually never the case. Be it, that the best systems are relatively new and haven't had the time to get their market share or the masses just using mass products, maybe being easy to get started with or just fitting into the company strategy. Developers or company deciders may also be reluctant to change the tools they know.
When not talking about Source Code Control systems, the price might also be an argument, why the best product would not be the most actively used product (a bit off topic).
BTW we can at best only ever express our opinion

No. Price often. Subversion is free, but it was not designed for source code and in my opinion it is not suitable for versioning of source code.
I have had to use it at three shops so far. The current one is trying to convert to TFS, but it appears not to be nearly as easy to set up.
