I found the move from 2008 to 2010 surprisingly easy and convenient. Wouldn't want to go back.
If 2010 to 2012 is as good I'll switch yesterday

It's not as good - it's better! Mostly colorless icons, all caps top level menus... Thanks for listening, Microsoft.

I'll second this.
Maybe a bit OT, but in my personal opinion, the new standard-style of vs2012 with that colorless icons, etc. looks very worse. Also I mean , who needs top level menus only in upper-case what is poorly to read.
But each to his own.

That would be a very good question. I hate the CAPS MENU ITEMS and the colourless interface. Colour adds a wealth of information which has been considered (in general) a good thing by UI experts for decades - so why remove it?

Words all in caps are harder to read, they may stand out but you have to concentrate more to get the meaning.
Of course after a few uses reading should no longer be necessary.

Looked at some screenshots. It certainly looks uhmmm... MODERN? AVANT-GARDE?
