I make my resolutions throughout the year rather than ones at New Year which are likely to fail.

I don't make any at all. That way, I'm not disappointed when I break one.

Making resolutions makes me feel like I'm trying to improve myself.
Breaking them throughout the year would feel bad, so I just try to forget the resolutions I made...
Thankfully, I forget what I'm talking about all the time, so this works pretty well for me...
I wasn't, now I am, then I won't be anymore.

Coding, drawing, websurfing, etc. - eats your time in no time!
Just like now.
Gotta quit doing that! Oh, I've gotta check my mail first... and forum too...

For years, I would make a resolution, and if I kept it, it was only for a year. For example, I made a resolution not to refer to our new salesman as "Kevin the Gerbil". Difficult.
So, years ago I decided to keep a resolution: to make no more New Year Resolutions.
I am glad to say, I have kept that one, ever since.
Real men don't use instructions. They are only the manufacturers opinion on how to put the thing together.

6 Years of effort will soon be relaised as in March I am due to grade for my 1st Dan.
Its been a long hard and I must say enjoyable journey. I look forward to more sweat and effort in the future with an expanded syllabus, a more senior roll in helping to teach the up and coming deshi's. Its been one of the most rewarding things in my life.
If you vote me down, my score will only get lower

What is taking so long? There are 10 year old TKD guys with 4th degree black belts at my dojo...
I kid, I kid
----
I took up Combat Submission Wrestling and Muay Thai about 2 years ago. After a year, some Jiu Jitsu fellas came in the gym and I was basically helpless. I wasn't doing too well in competition either. So I switched to Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai, after a half year there I was finally holding my own (against the blue belts). My instructor finally got black belt after 11 years under Gustavo Muchado.
Anyway, long story short, I had to quit because I was spending 15 hours a week in the gym and 40-50 at work. My family was being neglected By the time I got home all I could do was eat and pass out. I had too many regrets about not spending time with my kid to continue...
I have a lot of respect for anyone who puts in that kind of effort, and even more for the guys who put everything on the line and compete for no other reason than to test their own skill.

Well done. I got my shodan in 1985 (Shotokan Karate). That is probably the thing I am most proud of in my whole life, because it was hard work. Soon after that we got kids, so I could not train as often as I should have and eventually I gave up.
Once the kids were a bit easier to maintain I went back but the clubs had changed. Instead of learning katas, discipline and concentration they were constantly training for the next competition. So I gave up.
Then I tried tai chi, which is rather fun, but the woman kept going on about demons and vibrations and crystals, and the other students were a bit slow and unmotivated, so I lost interest. If I find another tai chi teacher who is not full of spiritual nonsense I will start again.

I don't make any resolutions, as I never stick to them.

I am going to be married in upcoming new year.
It will take some time for me to be in sync with both.
I think he(GOD) will give me all the strengths I want.
Regards,
Hiren.

In that case you must have had just the word "god". Putting "he" in this context is really funny actually.
