I work self-employment in my spare time. That sort of counts as unpaid. Too bad the IRS doesn't seem to see it that way

I generally end up doing small volunteer projects for family, church, or close friends. Is this semi-normal for others as well

I get the same sort of thing,
Regularly I get Call outs for "My Printer won't Work",
to " I want to build a system to ... "
But I think its the same for other profes
sionals also.
One of the big problems is that sometimes the samll jobs
are actually big jobs.
But some-thing I have noticed in the last 5 yrs with the Net, is since I'm the local PC nerd, others want to involve me in their looney get-rich-quick schemes.
