SQL Server 2008 R2(RTM)). This services are running more than 1 year without any problem. But, Since last week, SQL Server doesn't respond properly. We are not able to login SQL Server and getting the following error: <b>Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: -2)</b> We can able to login after restart the server. Since we have checked the event viewer, we found that the following error were continuously logged. SQL Server Assertion: File: <qxcntxt.cpp>, line=956 Failed Assertion = '!"No exceptions should be raised by this code"'. This error may be timing-related. If the error persists after rerunning the statement, use DBCC CHECKDB to check the database for structural integrity, or restart the server to ensure in-memory data structures are not corrupted. The application which uses the SQL Server has a log file which shows the following error: A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the pre-login handshake. (provider: SSL Provider, error: 0 - The wait operation timed out.) What is the wrong with SQL Server???</qxcntxt.cpp>
